Anne Hathaway would make the most sense, considering that she's hosted before, so it wouldnt be too risky to have her be in the finale, and also since shes going to be in probably the biggest movie of the summer, but who knows.
Better yet: why not Christian Bale?

Again, he hasn't hosted before, so it would be too risky. It's best to stick to what you know at this point (the finale). Besides, Bale is another one of those actors who probably would have hosted already if he was going to...(Or did he? I certainly don't remember him hosting...)

I'm still wondering what musical guest would be big enough to perform for the finale after Usher (unless it's Bieber, Lord Forbid). The only band I know of who's releasing an album in June who could PROBABLY be it is the Smashing Pumpkins, but they haven't released any songs from the album yet, and their track-record over the last decade certainly hasn't been up-to-par with the Nineties...

Keane's 5th album comes out in a week, and they've been on SNL before. Probably not mainstream enough though. Also, shouldn't all these speculations be in the "Possible hosts" thread?

Yeah, I guess this got a little out of hand...I'm just tense about who will be in the finale...

Just a closing statement, I think if Bieber was going to host, they would have brought him in BEFORE Will Ferrell. I'll be more welcome to him next season...Unless it HAS to be this season, I think they'll likely bring in a female host, if not Hathaway.

Alright, let's end it here. If you have anything more to say, take it to the "Possible Hosts" thread.

Keane can be described as "adult contemporary," but outside of their debut album they haven't much of a dent in the states.

JM5K is right, we are digressing. This is about Will Ferrell, after all.

I wonder if Zach Galafianakis will make a guest appearance...I mean, everyone else who's made an impact on this show in recent years has appeared this season...

Their film together doesn't come out until the fall, but he might still cameo. If he's just hanging out down on his farm in NC, easy enough to jet up for the weekend.

The two recurring sketches I hope we'll see are "Inside the Actors Studio" and "Celebrity Jeopardy". Especially the latter!

Don't know why Ferrell is here but he's opened wonderfully with the toned down Bush impersonation. Mothers day monologue was funny a toned down Ferrell is better apparently. I just realized with this holiday will we get another best friends mother song?

That commercial parody with Ferrel and Wiig was hilarious!

Yuck. The Culps was one of Ferrell's worst recurring sketches. (And he had a lot of bad ones.) I'll go so far as to saying Sudeikis's Biden is better than Ferrell's W.

The Culps were fun but the song parodies weren't as good as they used to be.

I don't recall enjoying the Culps back in the day. I was expecting Jeopardy, to be honest.

Oh that's right, Will Forte is not a cast member anymore. That's cameo #2 of _____

OK, this is annoying. I love seeing Will Forte, but surely they could have done this with either of the athlete hosts this season?

Ok with this short I've lost all count of the cameos. It has to be at least 6 by now.
