I know I'm supposed to pick a few, but I have alot of faves.

    Currenty: Forte/Thompson/Poehler/Samberg/Hader/Wiig/Sudeikis

I'm almost afraid to ask which Belushi- both brothers were cast members.

Actually, I was going year by year on each cast member, so I was talking about John, not Jim. Sorry for the confusion.

    Interesting you'll say Darrell.

I guess we're all in agreement that Kristen is a huge piece of talent. I hope she gets a career in movies once she leaves.

Of anyone in the current cast, Wiigy probably has the best shot of having a successful post-SNL movie career... I mean, besides Poehler.

Aykroyd, Hartman, Hammond. I prefer the Abbotts to the Costellos.

Okay, this isn't the "dream cast" thread, but it does have to do with cast members. Here we go. Now that I've watched enough SNL from almost every era, I know what to put.

    Dan Aykroyd
    Dana Carvey
    Will Ferrell
    Ana Gasteyer
    Phil Hartman
    Victoria Jackson
    Julia Louis-Dreyfus
    Tim Meadows
    Dennis Miller (WU)
    Mike Myers
    Gilda Radner
    Chris Rock
    Kristen Wiig

featuring Eddie Murphey, Joe Piscopo, Adam Sandler, and Jason Sudeikis

17 cast members! Huge! If I had to cut down, I would, but those are who I pick.

You've got Eddie featured, but Chris Rock in the cast. Were you not a fan of the Ebersol years?

No, i didn't mind the Ebersol years. Infact, as many clips as I saw, one season looked like they didn't have one bad episode.

Eddie's a superb actor, but he seems to come off as a bad sport, sometimes.

That one season was definitely not 1981-82.

As for Eddie's diva behavior, that came about after he left the show. Most of the cast and writers from the Ebersol years thought Eddie was a pleasure to work with, but Piscopo was trying to wedge himself in as Murphy's sidekick. Nevertheless, you are entitled to your opinion, Conner.

Best cast member of all-time: Hmm, Dan Aykroyd...and...Gilda Radner. I have many favourites but those are probably the top two for male and female.

Best current one: Gotta go with Will Forte for the dudes. Kristen Wiig for the ladies.

My thoughts on the cast (if a x appears next to somebody they should leave to me)

Fred Armisen - One of the best on the show but coming into his prime in his 7th season isnt a good thing. Is obama impression is bad. I see him lasting 3-5 more seasons left

Will Forte - x - annoying, has way to many unfunny sketchs were he either sings or dances. 2-4 more seasons left

Bill Hader - hasnt done much seems to me like the extra cast meber who has never really done muchidk is it just me?

Darrell Hammond - x? - can do any impression, but since he has done bill clinton 80 times maybe it's time to start planning ur depature, it bothers me that he is in none to one sketch an episode 1-4 seasons left

Seth Meyers - x - he cant do an impression and over thinks he's funny, he is great writer but not infront of the camera. Quit as a cast member and become a full time staff writer 1-3 seasons left

Bobby Moynihan - hasnt fully done alot but i hope to see more from the newer staff who i hope will save the show 5-7 seasons left

Amy Poehler - planned x - not really funny but brings a perkyniss that no other cast member brings which will be missed since she is in every sketch and has done much more than any cast member on the show now

Andy Samberg - his digitial shorts are delcing but might get better 4-6 more seasons

Jason Sudeikis x - i never really saw hiim funny, should go back to being a writer than a cast member 4-6 more seasons

Kenan Thompson - x -can only do an impression of cosby not funny and annoying 1-3 more seasons

Kristen Wiig - the female will ferrell, can make bad material funny and the best cast member on the show 3-5 more seasons

Casey Wilson - can be annoying but i plan to see more 5-7 more seasons

Dude, Forte is going to be gone sooner than 2 more seasons. It's his 7th season as we speak!

Here are my range of when cast members will probably leave. If it says 0 seasons, then that means this season is their last.

    Fred Armisen - (0 - 2)
    Will Forte - (0 - 1)
    Bill Hader - (2 - 5)
    Darrell Hammond - (0 - 1)
    Seth Meyers (0 - 2)
    Bobby Moynihan (5 - 7)
    Amy Poehler (she's practically done)
    Andy Samberg - (2 - 4)
    Jason Sudeikis (2 - 5)
    Kristen Wiig (2 - 4)
    Kenan Thompson (0 - 2)
    Casey Wilson (4 - 7)

He should bring back "The Falconer," though I do dig "MacGruber."
