Dana Carvey's new stand-up special has been airing recently on HBO.
I caught a preview of it on MySpace. I'll be honest with you, Carvey's still got it. I wish I could call it a comeback, though...
man, it was hilarious. Like for instance, he was talking about how kids were growing faster than his generation did, and he said he was just a little Mickey Mouse, and his impression for Mick was hilarious! There were so many good quotes.
And yeah, I don't think it's a comeback just yet. I think he came out of movie making for his kids/family. Can't blame him for that.
Or because nobody wanted to hire him. Either way...
He's funny. Why didn't anyone hire him?
Regardless if you're funny or not, if you can't carry a hit movie, people are gonna stop calling you. Granted, Carvey had the "Wayne's World" movies, but they were far more beneficial to the career of Mike Myers.

Oh, so he is more of a supporting actor?

    Nowadays, yes.

I knew all those clips of Jorma dancing in his underwear would come back to haunt him...

    He's married.

Speaking of married, I read that Chris Kattan married his model girlfriend yesterday.

By model, you mean built from used parts, right?

I tried embeding it, but it didn't work.

I'm not sure how old this pic is, but I laughed.

    Jan Hooks

    Look who's aged.

Compared to show she looked in the Jiminy Glick movie from five years ago... yeah, I'd say that's a recent pic. Either she really loved the Batman sequel or Jan really needs to lay off the botox.

I hope Laraine Newman still looks as good as she did in the 25th anniversary special compared to what Ms. Hooks looks like now...

Same with me. I looked on her wikipedia page, and I almost thought that was her today. I was like "Wow, she looks great!" And she used to look cute too.

Holy ****. Looks like somebody stepped out in public with "shower hair". Yeah, I'm still used to remembering Jan with fluffy 1980s hair.

You know what I found interesting? I was watching an Access Hollywood thing at Baby Mama opening night, and Chevy Chase was being interviewed, and he said he liked the current cast very much. And, hearing of things that Chevy's done, I think he means it. He wouldn't seem like the guy who would just be positive but not mean it. He usually says what he thinks.

Good observation, but I don't know if Lorne would want him to host again.

I'm not sure if any forum would want him to host again.

That was right on the money. I like how they panned Eddie Murphy's recent work without eviscerating him as a money-grubbing sellout.
