This just god damn pisses me off. Everybody knows Jimmy Fallon sucks, and the ratings are just going to tank. This is probably going to be Lorne's biggest mistake ever.

Really? Worse than "The New Show?"

Now, do I have this right? Here are the eras of SNL: 1975-1980: Original Era
    1980-1981: Doumanian Era
    1981-1986: Reformation Era
    1986-1990: Renaissance Era
    1990-1993: Two-In-One Cast Era
    1993-1995: Stale Era
    1995-2002: New Cast Era
    2002-2006: Post-Ferrell Era
2006-2008: Post-Fey Era (We're waiting to see how it wraps out)

Now, I'm not sure, but do you think 2003-2005 should be it's own era? It seemed like it was struggling. Who knows?

1981-85 should be the Ebersol Years, and 1985-86 would probably be best thrown in with the Renaissance Era.

I think this current era started in 2005, since that's when Jason, Bill, Kristen, and Andy got their starts, and they get most of the airtime right now. Also, the Two-In-One Cast Era and the Stale Era have to be put together, since the cast was close to the same from 1990 to 1994.

Or 8pm Central, take your pick.

This is probably tied in with "The Love Guru." I have absolutely no idea if that will be a funny movie or not.

I thought the trailer was too silly for my tastes. Maybe the actual thing will be funnier...

Couldn't be any less sillier than "Zohan", Sandler's new movie. Is this what Bob Smigel has been doing with his time?

    Good lord!

Zohan was also written by Judd Apatow so it is sure to be a hit.

And Get Smart will be a hit because it was based on a TV show co-created by Mel Brooks!

I can see where most of the forum posts were coming from. From people who just don't like sketch comedy, and from people who just don't like the writing, because they like the old cast members/writers.

One thing I was surprised about was how "the show has sucked since Ellen Cleghorne left"

Weird cast member to put the funniness of SNL on. I'm not saying she was bad, just not like a lead cast member.

I think he was being facecious. Granted, she did have some chemistry with Tim Meadows...

Not to mention ten-time host Buck Henry.

As for "Zohan," that really depends on if there's a growing anti-Apatow backlash. He's produced or written 13 movies in the last year, so people might be getting burnt out by the presence of Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, and Paul Rudd in every other comedy movie. If you think I'm blowing smoke, check out the weak box office returns of "Walk Hard" and "Drillbit Taylor." Plus, there's also the Dennis Dugan factor...

Where are you getting your numbers? Knocked Up, Superbad, Walk Hard, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Drillbit Taylor. That's only 5 right there. step brothers, zohan, and pineapple express are due out...which would make 8 betwen 2007 and 2008 combined.

This isn't real news, and this isn't Wikipedia either, but I had to share this.
