A few days ago I asked myself which (historical) person was played by more than five different performers on SNL and so I looked it up at the SNL archives. Since I thought it's interesting to me, there might be others who would also enjoy the following data.

    7 impressions

    - Marlon Brando (John Belushi, Peter Boyle, Zweibel, Burt Reynolds, Baldwin, Travolta, Goodman)

    - Hillary Clinton (Hooks, Garofalo, Gasteyer, Poehler, Barrymore, Dratch, Bayer)

    - Saddam Hussein (Nealon, Hartman, Ferrell, Hammond, Sanz, Baldwin, Dane Cook)

    - Madonna(Pamela Stevenson, Garofalo, Shannon, Gasteyer, Joan Allan, Poehler, Wiig)

    - Ronald Reagan(Chase, Shearer, Rocket, Piscopo, Quaid, Robin Williams, Hartman)

    - Martha Stewart(Garofalo, Walls, Gasteyer, Poehler, Dratch, Spade, Wiig)

    6 impressions

    - Christina Aguilera

    - Yasser Arafat

    - Prince Charles

    - Michael Gelman

    - Adolf Hitler

    - Michael Jackson

    - Marilyn Monroe

    - Elisabeth Taylor

Since it's not "General News" I opened this thread (If you think there is a better thread, please let me know). If someone else wants to share interesting SNL trivia, this could be the right place for it.

When did Alan Zweibel do Brando? I guess I could look it up. Presumably during the fifth season. That's an odd bit of trivia itself.

Elizabeth Taylor-John Belushi, Michael Jackson-Eddie Murphy, Adolph Hitler-Tim Kazurinsky. That's all I can think of...

Taylor was also played by Molly Shannon and Rachel Dratch, MJ by Tim Meadows and Amy Poehler, and Hitler by Michael Palin and Taran Killam.

Abby Elliott certainly did one of the best Marilyn Monroe's they've ever had, even though it was brief. Shame she didn't get to play her in a Vincent Price Showcase sketch before she was cut.

Okay, I just remembered that Eric Idle played Prince Charles whenever he hosted and that Chris Kattan played Gelman whenever the morning "Live" show was depicted...

I can also remember Sarah Michelle Gellar as X-Tina (parody of the Dirty video) and Seth as Prince Charles.
I also thought of Kattan as "Gay Hitler" but it's counted as a character, not as a impression.

Since there were speculations about the other impressions, here are the missing names (in red):

Christina Aguilera: Maya, Abby, Gellar - Gasteyer, Pedrad, Katy Perry

Elizabeth Taylor: Belushi, Shannon, Dratch - Joan Rivers, Sally Field, Casey Wilson

Michael Jackson: Murphy, Meadows, Poehler - Edwards, Rock, Walter Payton

Adolf Hitler: Kazurinsky, Palin, Killam - Carvey, Schneider, Myers

Marilyn Monroe: Abby - Teri Garr, Madonna, Pedrad, Gross, Charlize Theron

Prince Charles: Eric Idle, Meyers - Rocket, Tim Curry, Lovitz, Carvey

Michael Gelman: Kattan - Davis, Spade, Dratch, Killam, Brittain

Yasser Arafat: John Belushi, Tony Rosato, Gary Kroeger, Lovitz, Chris Elliot, Kattan

Jon Stewart, Steve Carell, A Whitney Brown, Dave Attell, Laura Kightlinger, Buck Henry, Jerry Minor, Stephen Colbert, Ed Helms, Rob Riggle, and Nancy Walls are people who have been on both SNL and the Daily Show. You can unofficially include Wyatt Cenac as he auditioned for SNL to play Obama.

Attell has been a guest on TDS, but he was a writer on "The Jon Stewart Show," a completely separate entity that aired on MTV in 1994-95.

Ugh, Attell: the least talented and most toxic writer that Lorne ever hired for SNL. A greasy loser better suited to doing sleazy stand-up at titty bars.

I'm sorry if you are bored by the amount of information I posted, but after compiling those data I didn't want to delete them. Maybe some has some use for it after all.
