Loved The Bel-Airabs (especially the theme song and Gilda Radner's manic Granny). Also The Holiday Inn Horror was very funny (again with Gilda, this time doing her great "I clean up, okay?" line). Unfortunately, this episode also saw the launching of the Al Franken Decade, which was greeted enthusiastically by an audience for whom it was mercifully still fresh. The Nuclear Family thing was a premise without flesh, and the Steve Marvin spot didn't really seem to do as much as it could have either. And the Californian satire came I suppose right off the heels of the movie Serial. Chico Escuela's woes were made rather amusing. Then there was Randy Newman, sending up ELO most snidely indeed.moreless
