The ad spoof "Big Brawn" is repeated from earlier in the season.
The censors told Molly Shannon that she was not allowed to lick Jeff Goldblum from toe to head during the "Mary Katherine Gallagher" sketch. She listened to them for the dress rehearsal, but she went all the way down and all the wayy up for the live show since she couldn't bear not to.
NBC almost pulled that episode's Robert Smigel cartoon because it featured animals defaciating. It aired anyway.
This is Mark McKinney's last episode.
In the Mary Katherine Gallagher sketch, Mr. Fabray (Jeff Goldblum) makes a reference to the 1978 disco film Thank God It's Friday, in which Goldblum co-starred with Donna Summer.
