Sketches cut after dress rehearsal include: a sketch where a man (Will Forte) seals himself in a box to spy on cheating wife (Jennifer Garner) (later performed in next month's Salma Hayek/Christina Aguilera episode); a sketch about the life of a 60s singing trio (this sketch is performed in next month's Queen Latifah/Ms. Dynamite episode); NRA commericals, 2 parts (rerun from Matt Damon/Bruce Springsteen); "Swiffer Sleepers" (rerun from Sarah Michelle Gellar/Faith Hill); "Joe Caucasian" (rerun from Jeff Gordon/Avril Lavigne); "LensMasters," about a bizarre LensCrafters-type store; a sketch where a neighborhood man (Tracy Morgan) hosts a BBQ-themed talk show; and a sketch where Horatio Sanz and Jennifer Garner sell poorly-made guitars.
Sketches/segments not shown in the 60 minute version: "Clappin'," "Invitation to Love," "Michael Jackson in a Tree," "Wal-Mart Greeters," "My Big Thick Novel" and Beck's performance of "Guess I'm Doin' Fine."
A "Where Are They Now" parody featuring a 1960's girl band called The Cherylettes was shown in dress rehearsal, but not put on the live show. A redone version of this sketch can be found in the live show version of the Queen Latifah/Ms. Dynamite episode.
A sketch entitled "Husband In A Box" was cut after dress rehearsal. A redone version of this can be seen in the Salam Hayek/Christina Aguilera episode.
Burt Bacharach's commentary on the crisis in Iraq during Weekend Update was pulled after its first airing, probably because the episode re-aired after Operation Enduring Freedom had commenced. It is reinstated in the 60-minute edit.
