      • In dress rehearsal, the "Mr. Blackwell" segment appeared during "Saturday Night News." In the live show, however, the segment appeared directly after the "Rich Hall's Election Report" segment.

      • The film "Buddy Young Jr. is Back!" appears in this episode in most repeats, replacing a sequence where Jackson catches on to the control room ruse. It originally aired in the McKean/Khan episode from later in Year 10.

      • This episode features Dick Ebersol's second and final on-screen appearance as executive producer of SNL. He appears during the goodnights to accept an award from the Reverend Jesse Jackson.
