    • The song "D*ck In A Box" won the 2007 Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music And Lyrics.

    • Sketches cut after dress rehearsal: a sketch about a store worker (Justin Timberlake) who brags to his fellow employee (Fred Armisen) about going home at 5 o'clock; on "Anderson Cooper 360," Anderson (Seth Meyers) asks two soldiers (Jason Sudiekis, Will Forte) about the U.S. exit strategy from Iraq; a sketch about a man (Will Forte) who kidnaps another (Justin Timberlake) to impress a woman (Maya Rudolph); singer Michael McDonald (Justin Timberlake) opens a similarly named fast food restaurant- Michael McDonald's; and a commercial where Soap Opera actors Michael Park and Kim Zimmer advertise their condom of choice during sex scenes.

    • "Dry Eyes" first appeared in the Matthew Fox/Tenacious D dress rehearsal, with Fox playing Justin Timberlake's role.

    • The NBC rerun features many sketches rearranged in order. "Dry Eyes," originally shown after the second commercial break, was moved up to immediately after the first commercial break. The "Target Greatland," "D*** in a Box," and "Barry Gibb Talk Show" back to back combo originally shown after the first commercial break was moved to after the second commercial break. Justin Timberlake's second performance was moved up from the 10-to-1 timeslot to 12:43 AM, switching places with "A Holiday Message from Nancy Grace."

    • The Digital Short "**** in a Box" quickly became an internet phenomenon, much like last year`s popular Digital Short, "Lazy Sunday". Coincidently, both were from Christmas episodes. decided to run an uncensored verison.

    • The digital short marks the third time that Andy Samberg has performed some sort of duet with the host, the first being with Natalie Portman in Season 31.

  • Allusions

    • In the "Homelessville" sketch, Justin Timberlake (dressed as Cup O' Soup) rapped to several familiar songs to get donations for his charity, Homelessville. Lyrics from the original songs were altered to incorporate "soup" references. The songs sampled are Tag Team's "Whoomp! (There It Is)," Snoop Dogg's "Drop It Like It's Hot," Salt N Pepa's "Shoop" and 69 Boyz's "Tootsie Roll."
