  • Not the best host.

    5.0
The late-80s cast is in fine form by this point, spring of their second season (third for Lovitz, Dunn, and Miller), but lackluster skits and a lackluster host make this episode mediocre at best. For a good example, check out the \"dumb criminals\" sketch towards the end: Nealon, Lovitz, Carvey and (especially) Hartman are doing hilarious character portrayals, but the repetitive nature of the sketch sucks the funny right out. And the closing sketch, where Carvey\'s George Will co-hosts Friday Night Videos with Justine Bateman, is bizarre if you\'re being kind, terrible if you\'re not. Bateman does little to prove why she should have had a post-Family Ties career, and her cue-card reading skills leave something to be desired.moreless

    • During the "Family Ties" sketch, in a quick shot of Kevin Nealon before one of the flashback sequences, his fake beard is coming off of his face on one side.

  • QUOTES (1)

    • Derek Stevens: (singing)
      "She stops me,
      She moves me,
She scorns me and approves me,
      She's my little baby,
      She's my little BABY,
      SHE'S MY LITTLE BABY... "
(stops singing) I mean, what d'ya think, Michael, I mean, it's fabulous, right? Right, it's a bigger hit than "Choppin' Broccoli" ever was! [pauses] Yes, and I've got lots more just like that! All right! We'll talk! We'll talk!
