  • By Jove, I think they've got it! These kids are onto something!

Many people consider this to be the high point of the season; I was never sure whether or not I agree with that, but it really is a fantastic episode.

Falling after the disturbingly dark-humored Ray Sharkey episode, this is a complete turnaround, with only a couple sketches falling short of their mark. (Weekend Update is one of those, once again.) There are so many defining moments in this show, it's hard to mention them all - Charlie Rocket shines as Phil Lively, and as the security guard in love with the Mona Lisa; Joe Piscopo turns in another funny Jersey Guy sketch; and even Ann Risley gets to shine in an uncharacteristically memorable cold opening. Of course, like any SNL, it has its weak spots ("What's It All About" is unusually poor this time around), but anyone who thought this season was a complete failure needs to give this episode a chance.

You might be surprised at how much you enjoy it.
