Seth MacFarlane/Frank Ocean opened the 38th season of the NBC late night show Saturday Night Live. The singer Psy of the hit "Gangnam Style" made a surprise appearance, and Ocean performed "Thinkin Bout You" and "Pyramids" with John Mayer on guitar. MacFarlane, better known for his behind the camera work on "Family Guy" and "American Dad," appeared as an Amish wooden spoon salesman and a puppet instructor. (see synopsis in recap)
