EDIT
SNL Remembers Chris Farley
AIRED:
The late Chris Farley was one of the finest physical comedians to emerge from SNL. Two months after his paralleling with John Belushi ended at age 33, Chris Farley was given a tremendous memorial via highlights of his most unforgettable sketches and characters from his five seasons with SNL.

Sketches and clips include "Chippendales Auditions," "Superfans," "The Chris Farley Show," "Bobby Watches Grandma," "Schmitts Gay," "Focus On Beauty II," "Matt Foley, Motivational Speaker," "Giuliani's Inauguration," "Tater Junction," "Lunchlady Land" (musical sketch), "Lillehammer", "Clinton Auditions," "Good Morning Brooklyn," "Japanese Game Show," "Juggernaut Force," "Zagat's," and "Hidden Camera Commercials."

I will base this off of the DVD. A great special featuring "Matt Foley" falling on a chair and yelling "La De Freakin Da!", and the over weight Chip n Dales dancer. Chris Farley was definitley one of the best cast members and this one compiled some of his best skits.

    RIP Chris.

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • NBC released a 60-minute edit of this special in prime time roughly nine months later. Credits for this stripped special include "Soldier Field footage courtesy of WBBM-TV Chicago." That particular piece of footage, with Farley appearing as Todd O'Connor, was among the many bits discarded for the hourlong version.

  • QUOTES (3)

    • Chris Farley: You remember the album, Abbey Road, and at the end of the record there's a song that goes "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make." You remember that?
      McCartney: Yeah.
      Farley: Uh, is that true?
McCartney: I think so. In my experience, the more you give, the more you get.
      Farley: (gasps) AWESOME!

    • (Bob Swerski sees Todd O'Connor doubling over)
      Bob: Is everything okay?
Todd: No problem, just having a heart attack. (pounds chest) Almost over! Done... done.
Bob: Very good, very nice recovery. Now, how many heart attacks is that for you, Todd?
Todd: That makes a baker's dozen for me.

    • Michael Jordan: Bob, you don't mind if I say something, do you?
      Bob: Course, go ahead.
Michael Jordan: Well, it's just about the Micheal Jordan foundation.
      Bob: Yeah.
Michael Jordan: You know, it was established about five years ago by my mother and me.
      Bob: Hmmm.
Michael Jordan: I mean, I'm really proud of it. You know, it was established in the midwest, and I really think it helps a lot of... (the Superfans become bored and start thinking of things inside their head.)
      Bob: Da bears...da Bears...da Bears!
      Pat: Beears, beears, beears, beears.
Carl: Daaaa Bulls... daaaa Bulls... daaa... Bears?
Todd: (with hungry and dry mouth) Polish sausage!... Ditka!... Dit-ka!... sausage!...Bears!
