In the 60-minute repeat a dress rehearsal sketch called "Tradtional Irish Drinking Songs for St. Patrick's Day" replaces the "Jensen Syringe," "The Mob," and "Eye on Chest Hair" sketches.
Aerosmith performs "Janie's Got A Gun" and "Monkey On My Back," the latter of which contains an f-word that is bleeped out in reruns. The band had wanted to perform "Love In An Elevator," but NBC would not allow them because they thought it was not suitable.
The "Wayne's World" sketch where Wayne and Garth meet Aerosmith was selected as E!'s #1 Most Unforgettable Moment on SNL in 2004.
The entire monologue sequence is reminiscent of It's a Wonderful Life.
