    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (3)

      • Response: As far as Mario's girlfriend also being his neice, he might be a redneck, LOL. And on the issue with Luigi being Pauline's father, Wario or Waluigi (if they truly are Mario's brothers, as a rumor suggests) could be her father, or that unnamed brother of Mario from Donkey Kong Jr. could also be Pauline's pop.

      • Mario isn't one of his video game jobs here (such as carpenter, construction worker, plumber or doctor), but a circus trainer.

      • In the Donkey Kong arcade game, Pauline was Mario's girlfriend. Here, she is his niece. If Pauline is Mario's niece, doesn't that mean she is Luigi's daughter?

    • QUOTES (3)

      • Mario: (to Donkey Kong) You can roll out the barrel, banana breath, but you can't roll out Mario!

      • Colonel: (to Donkey Kong) Step in to my office. We have business to discuss.
        Belle: Monkey business, that is.

      • Colonel: That ape...I say, that ape will get past the museum guards no trouble a'tall.
Billy Bob: But, will he work for us, Colonel?
Colonel: (Belle starts acting like she's flirting) Corn my post! Well, with my Belle here...I suspect that our eight foot fugitive has an eye for the ladies.

    • NOTES (1)

      • Prior to this episode, Mario's only appearance in cartoons was in a 1986 movie only released in Japan entitled The Great Mission to rescue Princess Peach. Just in case you don't know already, Princess Peach's first name was never Toadstool in Japan.
