      • When Zack is wheeled into the hospital room with Dr. Lasky, he complains about the doctors,"If the doctors had been German, he would have told them when D-Day was." This is an allusion to World War II. D-day was day the British and Americans invaded France to fight the Germans. It occurred on June 6, 1944.

      • When Zack leaves the hospital room leaving Kelly and Porf. Lasky alone, he mutters that he now knows why they need health care reform. The Clinton administration promoted health care reform. Mrs. Clinton made it a special mission for herself.

      • Dean McMann asks Zack if he learned his bed side manner from Dr. Kevorkian. Dr. Kevorkian is known for assisted suicides.

      • Alex: Great idea, Slater. And after that we can go to the malt shop and split a sundae with Potsie and Ralph Malph.

Potise and Ralph Malph were characters on the 1974-1984 TV series, Happy Days.
