The first time Kelly goes to Screech's house to be tutored, he's wearing a jacket with the word "FETISH" on the back. Fetish is defined as: anything to which one is irrationally devoted, as well as, any nonsexual object that abnormally excites erotic feelings. I'm assuming it's an in-joke for Kelly's feelings towards Screech.
Goof: When Screech and Mr. Belding are in the office, Belding finds out that Zack and Slater are at the door. When he opens the door and they fall down, the boom mic can be seen.
(Dr. Mertz hands Slater back his test)
Slater: Hey, a B Minus! That's decent!
Dr. Mertz: Decent?! If NASA scientists got B Minuses, their space shuttles wouldn't get past Cleveland.
Kelly: I did it! I was Kay Bailey's twenty fifth caller! I win two tickets to go see George Michael!
Jessie: Kelly, that's great! Who are you gonna take?
(Zack taps Kelly on the back)
Zack: Well allow me to recommend, Zack Morris. He's cute, warm and affectionate.
Slater: And so's a Cocker Spaniel.
Zack: I like school. It's a good way to kill time between weekends. It gives me five days to plan my Saturday night.
Kelly: (After getting back her test) An "F"? Did I really deserve an "F"? Dr. Mertz: No, but they don't allow us to give M's.
Jessie: So who is he?
(Lisa sprays her soda in shock)
Belding: Screech, you can't elope!
Screech: Who are you calling a canteloupe, you melon head?!
Kelly: Okay, so when do we start?
Screech: Well, tonight, but it has to be at my place. I'm not allowed out after ALF.
On the DVD, they cut out Bin Ladin talking about Kelly and Screech.
Screech: (to Kelly) We will always have science.
This is an allusion to a famous quote from the 1942 movie, Casablanca. Rick, played by Humphrey Bogart, says, "We will always have Paris." The movie won three Oscars.
The portrayal of Screech as Screech Bond is an obvious allusion to Ian Fleming's James Bond, a character in numerous novels and movies.
This episode's title is a play on thefairy taleBeauty and the Beast.
