  • This was pretty good.

This episode was not bad, again reminded me of Lizzie McGuire, but it seems as though that show really butchered this show. Anyways fake marriage, they never really do that at a school. That would be crazy, and only 3 couples were paired up, it was a coincidence that they were the main characters. Besides all of that, I liked how Slater tried to beak up Zack & Kelly, that was funny, the were mean to Screech as usual in this episode, and Lisa is allergic to Screech, that was fake. But somewhat funny, everyone ended up happy at the end. Great episode but it would never really happen.moreless
  • for a health class assignment, the girls and guys must be a couple as both husband and wife and mother and father

i really love this ep..i have seen it..well actually i dont remember how many times ive seen it but i love it every time i watch it and i laugh so hard every time..like almost to the crying stage..this ep is always so funny..the wife and husband thing is funny when (spoiler) screech and lisa get paired up and that is a complete disaster..jesse and slater of course is a huge disaster too b/c slater is chauvanistic and jesse is a feminist..so that was a disaster in the making..kelly and zack are going good until they get screech for a baby and then zacks plan is ruined lol..but i love this ep and its always funny no matter how many times i see itmoreless
  • Warning: Contains spoilers.

What happens when in mock marriages in a school project you get a divorce? This is what you will find out in this episode. The Mamas and Papas was a hilarious episode that brings lot of the Kelly and Zack relationship on the table of Max's Cafe. This is one of those episodes of Zack and Kelly, except this is an attempt Zack to get probably what you can call Zack's first kiss on Saved By The Bell. This is probably one of those episodes that in real life, the actors were dating each other. I learned this from E! A True Hollywood Story.

The plot is explained at the top. But, I recommend this episode.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • When Lisa asked why she had to go with Screech, Mr. Belding said that he put them in alphabetical order. That can't be true because Screech's last name starts with a P and Lisa's last name starts with a T. Slater and Jessie are paired off too and their last names start with an S and since S is three letters after P and one letter before T, they didn't really get put in alphabetical order.

    • Goof: This is the only time that Lisa is "allergic" to Screech. It does not happen in prior/future episodes.

  • QUOTES (5)

    • Kelly: Well I think humor is very important in keeping a marriage together.
Slater: Oh yeah..other things are important too.
      Jessie: Really, Slater?
Slater: Sure. Trust, understanding, and great legs.
      Zack: Yeah!
      Jessie: You macho pig.
      Slater: Oink, oink, baby!

    • Zack: So I can watch The Young and the Restless.
Jessie: It's more the Blonde and the Useless.

    • Screech: You homewrecker stay away from my mommy!
      Slater: She's not your mommy!
      Screech: Is that true daddy?
      Zack: I'm not your daddy!
      Screech: I'm an orphan.

    • Jessie: Slater, haven't you heard of the Women's Movement?
Slater: Sure...Put on something cute and MOVE it into the kitchen.

    • Lisa: Lisa no en casa.
Screech: I love it when you speak German!

  • NOTES (1)

    • During the scene at The Max between A. C. and Jessie, A.C., A.C. tells Jessie that he will 'send her to the moon.' This is an allusion to the series, The Honeymooners. The series starred Jackie Gleason and ran from 1955 through 1956.

    • The episode title "The Mamas and the Papas" refers to a popular singing group from the 1960's.
