In previous episodes Kelly mentions she has six brothers and sisters but only two of her brothers appear at the wedding.
The golfer Slater is caddying for sends him to the pro shop to buy a dozen golf balls, but Slater only purchases four.
This is the first time in the entire series where both of Zack's parents are shown together.
Nitpick: There's no applause coming from the audience as Mr. Belding is calling off the names of the graduates.
We learn that Screech was the only one who actually intended to go to Cal/"California U" as per the College Years ("I'll be at Cal without a pal!"). Zack and Slater apparently change their minds, and Kelly transfers last minute.
Continuity: The school song they write for this episode is sung in the later show, Saved by the Bell: The New Class.
At the beginning of this episode Zack said it was the first day of school but his mom told him that he needed to stay home and rest. But the first day of school of this Season was in the episode "The Fight".
It seems a little hard to believe that a high school principal would be sending all these kids over to Zack's house to check up on him. If Belding had his doubts, it seems he would just immediately go over himself, or contact Zack's parents. No one is going to keep sending students off campus. If anything had happened to any of them while they were going back and forth, Belding would have had a lot to answer for and almost certainly would have been fired.
At the end of "The Last Weekend" episode, Zack and Stacy were together. This episode was supposed to be a continuation of that episode, but Zack speaks nothing about missing her or anything about Stacy.
Zack has now been romanticly involved with every major (and some minor) female character in the show; Kelly, Lisa, Tori, Jennifer (Slater's ex), JB (Slater's sister), Stacey (from the Beach Club) and now finally Jessie.
When they are all in detention if you look closely you can see the microphone drop.
At the Max, Jessie stuffs several fries into her mouth and bites into a burger, but when she starts talking a split second after that, her mouth has no food in it.
This is the first time we hear of any other schools apart from Valley in the area - most notably St. Murray's Reform School, a real Californian school.
The song the gang sings at the sock hop is 'Come Go With Me' by the Del-Vikings.
The puzzle answers were as follows:
Girls: Be true to your school.
Boys: Honor thy principal.
In this episode, Zack mentions he needs to buy 300 rings for the seniors which is an indication to the size of the school.
This is the first (and only) episode to reveal that A.C. Slater's full name was "Albert Clifford" which his long-lost and returning girlfriend used in the past.
It's strange that Jessie openly sprayed "Death to Slater" on the lockers and didn't receive any punishment from Belding.
It's odd that Slaters 'right' shoulder got hurt in the accident when he was sitting behind Zack (which means he would've 'whacked' his shoulder against Screech). It would've made more sense if it was his left shoulder, since it was against the door.
Goof: When Screech first gets thrown into detention he is wearing a long sleeved blue shirt. But after Zack sneaks out of detention, Screech is wearing a short sleeved white shirt with colors and shapes on it.
