Cowabunga, dude! Zack and his friends are working at a beach club and want to start a party for Zack there. But, they're actually not allowed to. While that is happening, Zack is having troubles with his job because his boss and his boss's daughter, Stacey, are being very mean. After Zack yells at Stacey in the employee's lounge, Stacey changes and becomes nice. This episode was very excellent.

I love how they decided to finally make an episode set somewhere outside Bayside, but on the beach. I'm not sure if it was recorded on the beach, but I don't care. This episode was excellent. Although, it didn't have Zack's schemes very much, it did have a very great plot.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • When Zack chews out Stacey in the employees' lounge near the end of the episode, someone in the audience takes it upon themselves to quite audibly say, "BUSTED!" over the audience's hissing.

  • QUOTES (6)

    • Screech: Now, may I tell you today's specials? We have linguini, fettuccine, or eenie-meenie tortellini.
      Lisa: I'll have a salad.
      Screech: Mixed or greeny?
      Lisa: Greeny.
      Screech: Large or teeny?
Lisa: Will you get outta here, you weenie?!

    • Screech: Hey, Slater, did you want crushed ice, shaved ice, or no ice with that water?

    • Slater: Hey, Screech, could you run into the Sand Cafe and get me and Kelly a couple of sodas?
Screech: Certainly. We have cream soda, club soda, orange soda, diet cola, cherry cola, ginger ale...
Slater: Just a couple of waters, okay?
Screech: All right. Spring, tonic, sparkling...
      Slater: Regular water, Screech.
      Screech: Cool, cold, or warm?
      Slater: Get outta here!

    • Leon: We hired you as a lifeguard?
Kelly: I'm a senior lifesaver, Mr. Carosi.
Leon: But you're a little bit of a thing. 'Round here, we save our shrimps for cocktails! (laughs)
Slater: Hey, Mr. Carosi, Kelly is a terrific swimmer.
Leon: Did I ask you, beef boy?
      Slater: No.
Jessie: Look, if you don't wanna hire Kelly as a lifeguard just because she's a woman, that's discrimination.
Leon: Well, you like to throw your two cents in, don't you?
Slater: Boy, you have no idea.

    • Zack: Starting today, this is where I work. Pretty nice office, huh? You see, the whole gang landed summer jobs at the Malibu Sands Beach Club, with a little help from Lisa, whose parents are club members. (sighs) Girls on the beach, fun in the sun, money in my pocket. This is gonna be the best summer ever.
Leon: (to all his employees, Zack included) I've owned this club for 15 years. So, I know exactly what you new employees expect-- Girls on the beach, fun in the sun, money in your pocket. You think this is going to be the best summer ever.
Zack: (to the home audience) Boy, this guy's really sharp.

    • Stacey: I'm looking for a Leon Carosi.
Zack: What do you wanna see that jerk for?
Stacey: Because that jerk's my father.

  • NOTES (3)

    • This is the first episode where the entire cast excluding Dennis Haskins were not in school, the Max, or any places as they were in Seasons 1 and 2, and it's the first episode in the Malibu Sand Beach Club.

    • The episode's full title is Zack's Birthday Party.

    • The "Malibu Sands" episodes were filmed after the third season episodes, but aired along with the original episodes. These episodes are the only time that Mr. Leon Carosi and his daughter Stacey appear on the show.
