By now you're starting to find out why people got so into this show. Flying off to Athens to wrestle? Sushi from Saudi Arabia? "Go to church, go to a mosque, go to a tree," this has some really fun stuff. The story line is rough and the end is a heart-break although they should have developed (SPOILER!!!) the Yukon character a little more before killing him off. They could have done so much more with this story line.

We start seeing the relationship with Grace and Leon. The key to the whole show is that relationship, two totally different people, yet so much alike, start hating one another and come to share a special love.

One grump is one that's typical for TV shows, they had to make shallow cartoon characters out of people with a concern about the environment. Not much better than the phony baloney hippies in the old Adam-12 shows. Wow, man! As a real hippie dope-smoker leftist deadhead environmentalist freak it gets ridiculous to see these shallow, stupid characters over and over again. Do a little homework, for pity's sake, and get some characters with a little depth, huh?

But the best line is is a jewel in this smart enough to know I can't figure out That's what it's all about man.moreless
  • still the same Grace...

So I like the fact that Grace wasn't so fast to turn to the good side. She is still drinking and smoking and having wild sex. The few times that Earl has appeared she has tried to collect some evidence that he is what he claims to be and not some figment of her imagination. His feather was just a bird's feather, but his saliva had no DNA in it, something that is not possible. She goes back to the man she supposedly killed, a prisoner, to talk more about Earl and they seem to remember and not remember the same things about Earl. He keeps pushing her, wanting to know why she needs a "last chance" angel. I can't wait to hear more about why she is the way she is.moreless
  • Grace, Ham and the other team members try to track down a murder suspect. Ham finds out about Grace's past with Butch. Grace's boss's brother shows up at the precinct with a motive of his own.moreless

there were so many things i loved about this episode. i thought it was absolutely hilarious the way earl was taunting grace in the beginning of the episode by having that song playing in her car. i laughed so much! i don't think she should be messing much with Ham since he's married (and considering moving back "home"). if he doesn't love his wife he should just leave her. which is why i find it a bit hypicritical of him to be jealous over her relationship with Butch in the past. now grace is sleeping with this other guy? come on, she's got to have some feelings for somebody! at this point i think if you look up the word promiscuous in a dictionary you would find a picture of grace. (still love holly hunter for this show, perfect). i thought the glitter on the deer hoof grace shot was hysterical. on a more serious note, i can't believe percy shot his own brother...i have a feeling grace will be changing her tune a little now? and if not then she'll definately be self medicating for the PTSD she's going to have. her friend in the lab, (for all of you who don't know where you've seen her before) played Kit in Pretty Woman, and played in the lifetime movie Jenifer (as jenifer). the wresteling arena in athens was an awesome touch. earl stealing grace's arm was also pretty funny. can't wait till next week.moreless

    • (bumper sticker says "Sooners")

Oklahoma is known as the "Sooner" state. The name "Sooner" was first known as settlers who claimed land in the territory, before Oklahoma became a state. President Harrison proclaimed the lands open with the Indian Appropriation Act of 1889. Sooners were so named from the "Sooner Clause", which said that no one should be allowed to occupy any land before the opening time of any land run. Those people who did not act accordingly, would be denied any right to illegally claimed land.

More commonly, you hear the term "Sooner" as the name of the University of Oklahoma football team.

  • QUOTES (8)

    • Grace: (To Rhetta) What if I'm crazy? And somehow I made you crazy too. And we've both had mental breakdowns, but we don't know it.

    • Grace: (To Rhetta regarding Earl) He's gonna be a huge pain in the ass.

    • Grace: Where are your wings?
Earl: Don't like 'em around the stove.

    • Grace: I'm not going to church.
Earl: Who said anything about church? You can go to temple, go to a mosque, heck, Grace – go sit in a dang tree if that'll get you closer to God.

    • Rhetta: Granted, he chews tobacco and likes disco, but you've entered into the divine, Grace. (Regarding Earl)

    • Grace: You ever had sex, Earl?
Earl:(caught off guard and shocked) Noooo.
Grace: You eat our food, you wear our clothes, why not?
Earl: Well, uh, my wings would get in the way.

    • Grace: Where are we?
      Earl: Athens, Olympic wrestling.
Grace: Athens? You mean like a crap-load of years ago?
Earl: (pointing) No, cell phone tower, see?

    • Rhetta: Grace, to examine the feather of an angel, do you understand?
Grace: Yeah. It's a religious experience. He's not an angel.
Rhetta: That is how we find out.
Grace: Wouldn't you rather have his spit?
Rhetta (whispering reverently): This is Earl's spit?
Grace: Unless there's a bird that shits tobacco.
