"Perfect"

While helping search a building with a firefighter for search and rescue, Grace finds an injured woman pinned underneath some fallen debris. After the firefighter stablizes the woman with an IV and leaves to bring back more supplies, Grace discovers that the initials of this woman are the same initials as the office manager that signed a document explaing that the axel on the bus that the children were riding on was not faulty, when in fact it was. The woman realizes what she did and tries to kill herself after Grace refused to do it. Grace prevented the woman from hurting herself. Earl shows up in the midst of it all and Grace hugs him and asks him to stay. Earl says he can't and basically tells Grace that this is between her and God. The tornado comes whipping through and rips a hole in the roof where Grace is protecting the woman. Grace basically challanges God by saying God can't have her because she wants her. The storm immediately blows over and Grace arrests the woman Grace thinks she has won the challenge until she finds out the woman's ambulance got slammed into by a bus and she was the only one killed. Pretty ironic i think. Grace realized she didn't win against God this time. Earl shows up and Grace goes off on him, and he tries to explain to her that she did save the woman, that just because the woman is dead doesn't mean she wasn't saved. Leon Cooley declares a different religion thinking it will get rid of Earl, but he discovers this is not so. Earl shows him what heaven is like, and what will happen if Leon kills another guard. Rhetta gets locked in the morgue with one of the men Grace has slept with, and she actually finds out they slept together. I don't think that was news she was thrilled to learn. Butch and Ham get into a fist fight over who knows Grace better and who cares more about her. This was when Ham tried to go out to find her and Butch wouldn't let him leave, claiming Ham can never keep track of his partner. The boss breaks them up by spraying them with a hose. The two seemed to be getting along at the end of the episode though, so i think they just needed to get it out of their systems. I couldn't wait for the show to come back on, and this was a great way to kick it back off!moreless
