Anthony Norris is correct. If you are new to Scandal you should log on to Netflix and watch season one. This was a powerful episode that can only lead to a massive climax as Olivia's world is starting to unravel piece by piece. All of the back stories such as Quinn's, The Secret Six, Abbey & David's relationship are all reaching climactic proportions. The question remains, who could it be? Is Hollis Doyle responsible or could it be Mellie Grant? What will James do with the information he's just uncovered? Will Harrison turn on Olivia for her lack of help? Folks, this is the show to watch.moreless

Revelations should be the name of this episode. Since I do not want to give too much away, all I can say is next week, stuff is going to hit the fan!!! For anyone that is just tuning in to SCANDAL, I recommend watching the 1st season in order to have a better understanding of what's going on. This is definitely one of the best shows of the season!!!

      • Edison: (getting dressed in the morning) There was Shayna. She was an artist. We dated for five months, but she didn't like to read. That was an actual thing she said, "I don't like to read", as if that was okay. So, after her I dated Maggie. She loved to read. She did not, however, love being monogamous. Then, there was Paulette.
Olivia: Edison, you've made your point.
Edison: Have I? Because I still haven't heard a single detail about the men you've dated since we broke up.
        Olivia: There's nothing to tell.
Edison: Because you're so ugly no one wants to be with you.
Olivia: Because there's nothing to tell.
Edison: You won't be seen in public with me. What am I supposed to think?
Olivia: That every reporter knows my face , and it would become a story that you're dating a professional fixer. You're a United States Senator, the focus should be on you.
        Edison: What was his name?
        Olivia: Edison!
Edison: Normal people talk. They share. That's how a relationship works.
Olivia: Okay. You want me to tell you something? Fine, but is between us. And if I tell you, you can't ask any questions. Are you in?
        Edison: I'm in!
Olivia: When something big happens in the Senate today, you should be one of the first senators to make a statement of support.
        Edison: What?
Olivia: When something big happens in the Senate today, you should be one of the first senators to make a statement of support.
Edison: This is your sharing? (Olivia looks at him without an answer) Whoever he was, he really hurt you, didn't he?

      • Fitz: (flashback, they're in the National Archives looking at a display) That's the Constitution. The actual Constitution. You want to touch it?
        Olivia: I'm not touching it!
        Fitz: Touch it.
        Olivia: No!
Fitz: There are, like, six people in the last hundred years who touched the Constitution. Be the seventh.
        Olivia: You be the seventh.
Fitz: I'm the sixth. I touched it 4 seconds ago.
Olivia: You didn't wait for me.
        Fitz: It's the Constitution!

      • Fitz: (flashback) What's wrong? You pace in circles when something's wrong. When you're just thinking, is back and forth, but when something's wrong... circles.
Olivia: Did you need something, Mr. President?
Fitz: See, you used to sound sexy when you called me "Mr. President". Now it just sound like I'm a gym teacher.
        Olivia: Did you need something?
Fitz: The Sally Hemings/Thomas Jefferson comment was below the belt.
        Olivia: Because it's so untrue?
Fitz: You're playing the race card on the fact that I'm in love with you? Come on, don't belittle us. It's insulting and beneath you, and designed to drive me away. I'm not going away.
Olivia: I don't have to drive you away. You are married, you have children, you are the leader of the free world. You are away. By definition, you are away. You're unavailable!
Fitz: So this is about Mellie?
Olivia: No-- No! This is.. I smile at her and I take off my clothes for you. I wait for you. I watch for you. My whole life is you. I can't breath because I'm waiting for you. You own me. You control me. I... I belong to you. I--
Fitz: You own me! You control me! I belong to you! You think I don't want to be a better man? You think I don't want to dedicate myself to my marriage? You don't think I want to be honorable, to be the man that you voted for? I love you. I'm in love with you. You're the love of my life. My every feeling is controlled by the look on your face. I can't breath without you. I can't sleep without you. I wait for you. I watch for you. I exist for you. If I could escape all of this and run away with you... There is no Sally or Thomas here. You're nobody's victim, Liv. I belong to you. We're in this together.

      • Fitz: (flashback to some point before Fitz's first State of the Union, Fitz tries to stop Olivia in a White House's hallway)
Livvie! (she keeps walking, he joins her) I haven't seen you.
        Olivia: I'm busy.
Fitz: I'm busy too, however I'm not sending my aides to meetings in an attempt to avoid you.
        Olivia: I'm busy.
        Fitz: Olivia, I miss you.
Olivia: You walked her to my cabin door.
        Fitz: I didn't have a choice.
Olivia: I don't know what you expect. I don't want to be in this. This is... I am not this person.
Fitz: Look... I know this is difficult.
Olivia: Difficult? Are you-- (someone else passes and she stops talking) Somehow, I've become this person who... I have no words.
Fitz: We are together. That's all that matters.
Olivia: Really? Because I'm feeling a little, I don't know, Sally Hemings/Thomas Jefferson about all this.
