  • The Monahan Family from Orange County California travels to Transylvania to hunt for the ghost of Vlad the Impaler aka Vlad Dracul or Count Dracula.

This family really handled themselves well, used the equipment correctly and did a great job seeking out things while explaining what they were seeing. They relied heavily on each other to get through it and totally respected the location and it's history. The believers seemed to be solidified in their views and the skeptics were convinced by the end. That big tough Fireman was even crying at the end. The girls were really pretty and the young teenage boy, Billy, was totally hot! I have been a huge fan of the show since the very beginning and this episode was one of my top 3 favorites!moreless

  • Family Fun

A family goes looking for the unknown in this episode of Sariest Places on Earth. This episode seems too set up compaired to others episondes. This was not one of my favorites. Still, the family did experance thing that they could not explain. There is alot of scraming and running, though. You can't always tell what they are looking at.

  • NOTES (1)

    • This show calls the Hunyad Castle in Hunedoara Dracula's castle, but there are a number of locations that share that moniker. These include Bran Castle in Brasov which is the most popular, and Sighisoara Castle which was where he was born. Poenari Castle is also associated with Vlad, and is the location where his first wife committed suicide rather than be taken prisoner by the invading Turks. Hunyad Castle is where Vlad spent the seven years as a captive of King Matthias of Hungary.
