A family is dared to spend one night in the Woodchester Mansion located in the Cotswold area of England, a center of witchcraft activity throughout history. Construction began on the mansion in 1850, but due to accidents and mysterious deaths the building was abandoned in 1865. The unfinished mansion became a ceremonial site for local witches over the years. Now the James family of Trevose, PA comes face to face with the foreboding structure as they search for signs of the supernatural.
Five members of the James family from Philadelphia try to spend a night by themselves in Woodchester Mansion, a reportedly haunted 19th-century English manor house. "Woodchester's unique. It's a building that wants to kill you," says author Alan Robson, who serves as the James' guide. In 1868, workers abandoned the 27-room structure, which is located in the Cotswolds, and it was never completed. While it's never been lived in, it is an alleged haven for occult practitioners, hence Robson's nickname for it, "witchcraft central." Before entering the imposing mansion, the five adventurers take part in a snake-handling ceremony. Then, using only flashlights, they begin an exploration. Linda Blair hosts.moreless
