    The brutal murder of 22 year old maidservant Rose Harsent has remained unsolved for nearly a century. She was pregnant and her body was badly burned. A man was tried twice for her murder but never convicted. The events of that night still remain a mystery. Part two is about Alma Rattenbury who was accused of bludgeoning her husband to death with a carpenter's mallet, although ultimately it was her 18 year old garden boy and lover who was convicted of the murder. Three days later Alma committed suicide, unable to cope with her true love's gaol sentence. However, the true motive for the murder remains in doubt even after all these years.moreless

When Leslie Harvey decided to get his mum's house redecorated while she was in hospital, he hadn't bargained for discovering a twenty year old mummified body in the landing cupboard.
