  • A show that took you into some of the most creative developments in science.

This show ran on PBS in the United States from 1990 to 2005. Every episode introduced you to a number of scientific projects, from early CGI animation with motion capture, to the way to make music by tapping on the sides of water-filled glasses, and so on. Affable host Alan Alda explained the workings of each task. He got the scientists to let you in on the designs as they were carried out. This show is certainly good for adults, but it's ideal for kids as well-- it's just what might be needed to help a student become more interested in science class. You can catch this show in reruns, or you can rent it. Either way, it's well worth your time.
