This is the second time that we see the Tiki Tub Club in the show, the first time it appeared being in the episode "Battle of the Humungonauts."
Sheriff Stone: (from inside Daphne's closet) I'm in a closet.
Shaggy: Like, you went camping with monsters too?
Velma: Sure. They even gave me this.(holds up and puts on a Wild Brood jacket)
Shaggy: Like, oh boy. (stutters and keels over and faints)
Sheriff Stone: (from inside the closet) Wow! There a lot of shoes in here.
Scooby: Man down again.
Daphne: Well, looks like we got ourselves another mystery.
(Fred regains consciousness)
Fred: What?
Daphne: The Wild Brood are obviously being framed.
Fred: But the sheriff has evidence.
Daphne: Which is why we have to see if that evidence is real or fake. It's up to us to prove Odnarb innocent.
Fred: Or guilty.
Sheriff Stone: (still inside the closet) I am seriously lost in here!
Despite their experience dealing with fake monsters, it would seem odd that not one member of Mystery Inc. questions whether they are actually real Orcs, which of course they turned out not to be.
Back to the Future III
The scene of the runaway train's locomotive plunging off a broken bridge and exploding among impact is most likely a reference to Back to the Future III (1990), which featured a very similar train explosion and wreck scene.
The Wild One
The name of the episode and the character "Odnarb" allude to the classic biker movie The Wild One (1953), in which a small town is disrupted by a motorcycle gang led by Marlon Brando and Lee Marvin. It may also be a play on The Wild Bunch, a 1969 western film about a gang of outlaws, staring William Holden, Ernest Borgnine and Robert Ryan.
Anastasia
The scene where the runaway train's locomotive is uncoupled, then derails off a broken bridge and graphically explodes among impact is very similar to what happened to the train in the 1997 animated movie Anastasia by Don Bluth.
X-Box 360
The Swordfish game console bears a design quite similar to Microsoft's X-Box 360 game console.
