  • The Final Clues

Needless to day that I loved this episode... not only that, but my wish came trus, they brought Marcy back! (I admit it, I was happy to see her, and this episode proves that she was probably the best supporting character created for this series. Not only she helped the gang, but she also sacrificed herself in order to buy them some time).

Anyway, the idea for the puzzles and the gates was very well thought... the clues were right in front of our eyes this whole time. Plus, the idea of the Evil Entity telling the gang that they had been manipulated this whole time in order to set him free was brilliant... what a way to confuse them into trying to trick them.

A big 10 is the score settled by me.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • The visions of the four gate keys associated with the four Greek elements, seen in "Nightmare in Red," prove to be vital clues to getting through the barriers.

    • Hot Dog Water is killed off-screen when Mystery Inc. hears gunshot fire from Pericles' Kriegstaffebots when she held Professor Pericles at ransom to allow time for them to go through the element of air door. She is also the third character in the series to be killed by Pericles, right after Ed Machine and Cassidy Williams.

  • QUOTES (0)

  • NOTES (1)

    • This is the second episode of season two to be directed by Michael Goguen after "Dark Night of the Hunters," instead of regulars Curt Geda and Victor Cook.

    • Captain Planet and the Planeteers

The four keys, plus the Heart of the Jaguar is most likely a reference to the five elements (Earth, Fire, Wind, Water and Heart) bestowed upon the Planeteers by Gaia the Spirit of the Earth, in the 90's cartoon series Captain Planet and the Planeteers.
