When the gang return the knight to Mr. Wickles, the knight's eyes can be seen during the converstation. However, Mr. Wickles is later revealed as the villian. So he shouldn't be around when the knight was alive.
When Velma says "So that's where the old knight was headed for", her lips don't move.
Velma mentions that Shaggy was a gymnast in high school.
When Daphne picks the back door in the hidden room, the knight comes out. The knight's suit of armor was missing its helmet design, but in the next scene, it's back on again.
When Scooby puts on the suit of armor at the end of the episode, the suit was fitted perfectly for Scooby's paws, even though earlier, it was made for fingers...not paws.
We learn in this episode that Shaggy is a ventriloquist.
After Shaggy falls from the top window of the museum, he lands in a pile and then gets up and walks away wearing a hat. Then the camera changes and the hat is gone like it just vanished.
Why would a WWI-vintage airplane that's part of a museum exhibit have gasoline in its engine and be in full working order, thus enabling it to fly around the museum?
At which point before administering the cough medicine to Shaggy did Velma find her glasses?
During the scene in which the knight gets trapped in the stockade, Velma, who has just lost her glasses, starts to pour some cough medicine into a measuring spoon to give to the knight, whom she mistakes for Shaggy. The scene then switches to Shaggy who is looking for Velma, and then back to Velma, who is now wearing the lost glasses and is just about to administer the cough medicine.
While underwater, Shaggy says "I thought that rock looked pretty suspicious." As he says this his hair turns from its reddish brown color to a blond color. Then it cuts away, and he's got his normal hair.
When Shaggy puts the seaweed beard on the culprit to prove he is Captain Cutler, as seen in the picture of the captain at the Cutler house, Freddie, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby yell, "It's Captain Cutler," even though Daphne and Freddie never saw the picture.
When Shaggy and Scooby are scared out of drinking their beverage by the newspaper article that Freddy is reading, you can see that the glass is almost full. However, a few moments later, even though Shaggy and Scooby haven't resumed drinking their beverage, you can see that the glass is almost empty.
When Scooby inflates his suit and Shaggy punctures it, it leaves a hole in the diving suit. Just moments later, after tripping the ghost, the rip is gone.
When Shaggy sat down on the rock that opened a passage way, he looked a lot more like Fred.
When Scooby covers the others in sand before showing them the map, their order is Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, then Fred. The next moment they are totally uncovered from the sand and their order is Shaggy, Fred, Velma, then Daphne.
How was Bluestone able to get untied? Was it magic, or an error by the animators? While that the gang and the policeman are discussing the case, Bluestone is tied up. Then, after he is asked how he was able to "walk through walls", all of a sudden he is untied and offers to show them how he appeared to walk through wall, and no one seems surprised that he is untied. (Response: You may want to take another look at that scene. When Fred and the gang ask about how Bluestone walked through the walls, Bluestone actually asks Fred to hold the rope he was tied up in before showing the trick. Thus like all good magicians, Bluestone was able to get out of the ropes on his own, and was no error on the part of the animators. It was a subtle, yet nicely timed gag.)
In the begining when Daphne and Fred are looking from behind the rock, Velma's voice comes out of Daphne's mouth.
How does Shaggy know the combination to the vault when Freddy isn't reading them off like he said he would?
Would the Miner 49er really have thought that there was an actual train in a small mineshaft?
We see Fred covered head to toe in flour after he falls through the floor boards, but a few seconds later, he is totally cleaned off and not a speck on him!
