After the gang had just gotten out of the underwater cave, they were completely dry even though they should have been completelly soaked.
When Asa Shanks gives directions to the Gang, he mentions taking a left or right at the fork in the road. However, when he says left, he points right and when he says right he points left.
How did Shaggy manage to survive balancing on a thick wire, and then a big fall landing in shallow water?
If Asa Shanks wanted to make the gang avoid going past the Haunted Mansion, why couldn't he just pretend that the right fork leads them nowhere?
Although Shaggy, Scooby, and the headless specter all ride on balloons out of the well, it would be impossible to hold their weight in real life.
How can Shaggy, Scooby and Velma slide down a bannister while wearing suits of armor?
What happened to the rug on the staircase? When Shaggy lifts up the rug to deter the headless spectre, it looks like it went back into place. However, a few moments later, when Velma, Shaggy and Scooby are chased down the stairs by the spectre, the rug is no where to be found -- it is neither on the stairs or at the bottom of the staircase.
Throughout the episode the Creeper's mask changes. Sometimes his left eye is bulging but at other times it is his right eye which bulges.
Scooby's neck turns blue for a moment when he pulls off the Creeper's mask.
Velma is seen bending down and looking for her glasses, which are a few inches away from her, after Shaggy and Scooby literally bump into her. Fred and Daphne, who are standing near her, and had to have seen the glasses, don't even tell her where the glasses are located.
When Shaggy uses the phone and waits for an answer, look carefully and you will see his mouth disappear.
Professor Ingstrom tests his new invention by trying to communicate with a dolphin or porpoise. However, the gang calls it a fish, but they are incorrect, since dolphins and porpoises are mammals and not part of the fish family.
In the final scene when the gang explains Dr. Ingstrom's intentions as the Caveman, Fred says the first line of dialogue, and it looks like Daphne says the second line. But it's Velma's voice you hear as she speaks.
There has been confusion about where this episode takes place. For all intents and purposes it takes place in China however during the chase scene the city looks like San Francisco therefore the episode must have taken place in Chinatown. However, the temple is Chinese in style.
Velma's glasses must be part mirror since it gave off a reflection of the scrap of paper that Scooby immediately recognized.
When Fred pulled the gag down off Daphne's mouth and after door shuts, Daphne is still tied up, but the gag is gone.
At the end of the episode, when Shaggy and Scobby jump for (and miss) the last Scooby Snack, Shaggy lands on the left side of the screen and Scooby on the right side. After the mouse steals the Scooby snack and eats it in his closeup, Shaggy is now on the right side of screen and Scooby the left side.
Notice the scene when the gang crashes into the pile of fish at Fisherman's Wharf. When Scooby reaches down to pull Shaggy from the bottom of the pile (in both attempts), his entire arm changes to light green (the same color as Shaggy's shirt), then brown again.
Shaggy can be seen drinking a bottle of ether. Earlier he is seen drinking a fizzy drink.
Shaggy and Scooby, sliding down a bannister, collide into Velma and all three barrel down a laundry chute to the bottom. When asked by Fred if she's all right, Velma says "Couldn't be better." Wouldn't her back would have been fractured in seven ways to Sunday after that collision?
