    • TRIVIA (3)

      • Goof: In the original opening theme for this episode, notice that when the Rottens team rises from the pool of mud in the tug-of-war between the other teams, Daisy Mayhem's hair changes from dark to blonde.

      • Goof: Prior to the lacrosse event, Shaggy was introduced as the Scoobys' team competitor, but he ended up in the role of coaching the actual participant of the event, Scooby-Doo himself.

      • Goofs: During the Tree Cutting Contest, when Taffy cheers on Captain Caveman, she says "Go Cavey. Go!" But the voice heard is Brenda's. Also after the same event, the top portion of Mumbly's trenchcoat is green like his Rottens' team jersey.

    • NOTES (5)

      • Scooby's All-Star Laff-A-Lympics first aired in 1977 as a two-hour block as the umbrella title for episodes of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! replays, The Scooby-Doo/ Dynomutt Hour, and the introduction of Laff-a-Lympics and Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels. The block aired on ABC from 9 AM Eastern Time to 11 AM. It was renamed Scooby's All-Stars in season two and reduced to 90 minutes. The opening used in this episode is how the 2-hour series opened each week.

      • First victory for the Scooby Doobies.

      • Barney Rubble and Fred Flintstone appear in this episode as the latter demonstrates (very badly) the objective of the lacrosse event.

      • Prior to the final event, Yogi Bear is profiled as he's seen in Jellystone Park. Ranger Smith makes a cameo appearance.

      • This is the pilot episode of Scooby's All-Star Laff-a-Lympics, although it airs as the sixteenth in the series (as indicated by the original airdate). Notice the different opening theme which introduces Scooby-Doo and the gang (with a clip featuring Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, and Velma even though the latter 3 never actually appeared in the series), Blue Falcon and Dynomutt, and Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels. This was mainly because their shows, like Laff-a-Lympics all aired on ABC's Saturday morning lineup at the time, as part of the 90-minute block titled Scooby's All-Stars.
