The jury's out. The cast looks strong, but the plot's weak so far.

It shows promise but I still think it has some warming up to do.

utter rubbish, where is the crime, totally pushed aside for boring personal problems, it's more like a soap than a crime drama.

I think it's excellent. The two cases thus farhave been thought-provoking, but the representation of police detectives, both as ordinary people and in the portrayal of their work, is among the most realistic I have seen. It's nice to take a step away from the usual cliché of a hands-on senior officer with unique insight, a personality quirk and a dopey sidekick dealing with a series of murders in a picturesque setting, and it's a refreshing change of pace from the escalating levels of ritualised serial killings seen in certain other detective shows.

I like it and not only because of Lesley Sharp. I find the women cop, woman boss point of view quite refreshing. And it's without becoming some kind of stereotypical soap opera. It's still the crimes that is the most important part of the script.

Only thing I can complain about is that I think it would've been cool if they've gone with an all women directors too and not only producers.
