I know a few other people that also really like HIMYM. I myself have never seen it, but apparently it's a good show. I don't actually know of another show to recommend, though I know a few of the other regulars REALLY like Black Books.

The Mighty Boosh has the same kind of humour as scrubs (in my opinion anyway) but it doesn't really have serious plots.

You rang? Yeah, Black Books is awesome, my favourite British show ever, but like Scrubs, it too is cancelled, and they aren't really similar types of comedy.

The show most like Scrubs, which is also cancelled, is Arrested Development. It's clever, witty, has hilarious and out there characters, and great comedic twists, but obviously you're looking for shows that are still on the air.

I've seen a few episodes of How I Met Your Mother here and there, and it's kind of similar, but I really like My Name Is Earl, which is basically the My Karma episode of Scrubs made into a series, and it has similar sort of combination between slapstick and witty conversations, however it is nowhere near the brilliance and hilarity of Scrubs.

    Black Books!!!

Bernard: No one is willing to admit that wine doesn't actually have a taste.
Manny: Of course you can't taste anything, you smoke eighty bajillion cigarettes a day. What's that you're eating?
Bernard: Some sort of delicious biscuit.
    Manny: It's a coaster.
Bernard: Is it? Is there any more?

How i met your Mother is very good. But the main guy Ted annoys me. Zach Braff should have got that gig aswell

I recommend How I Met Your Mother. There are no serious plot lines but it is pretty hilarious.

And yep, it took this thread just under 10 replies to get highjacked into a Black Books quotefest

Manny: Do you think I should wash my beard?
Bernard: I think you should, yeah. You should wash your beard, then shave it off, nail it to a Frisbee and fling it over a rainbow.

Though i think Josh Radnor (Ted) was a horrible actor in the first season, i think Braff is TOO good...they need someone more socially awkward and ill-fit for the role like Radnor, since that adds to the realism.

How I met your Mother is legen-wait for it-dary!

I actually thought about this aswell, i really think that they should have given the gig to Ryan Reynolds. The one who gueststars scrubs in My Dream Job. The perfect sense of goofyness

But Radnor has been on the show so long, that NOW he's irreplacable.

i didnt mean "we shouldnt change Radnor because fans will get confused about the sudden change in actors".
I meant "Now that Radnor has been on for so long, i've adapted to him and he doesnt seem so bad...so if i had to GO BACK IN TIME to change the actors, i wouldnt do it since i now liked Radnor".

the only show that i can think of comparing to Scrubs is Boston Legal, mainly because it's about a comedy about a Law Firm (generally a serious place) which has dramatic/sad moments some times
