remember when they said the Hammersley had only a few months left before decommissioning? Well this is the last episode using the old Fremantle class ship. And does the Hammersley go with a bang? yes it does, the crew and the ship make sure of that. The episode has many great elements. Hostage taking is a great one in this episode. Heavy machine gun usage, on some poor bastard. But to sum up how to episode is played as season finale is quite easy. Its conclude most of the major story arc. the episode also shows the Aussie way of decommissioning a ship.moreless

    • Buffer: Misty found my conversation inspiring.
Swain: Misty? Misty was that blonde you were talking to at the bar last night?
Charge: Name like Misty she's either a stripper or a whale watcher.
      Swain: Or both.
      Charge: Possibly both.

    • Buffer: The federal agent, Martina. You wouldn't happen to know if she's single? She's not wearing a ring, how would you know? But...
Kate: No. I mean, I don't know if she's single.
      Buffer: Right, okay.
      Kate: But...um...Buff, she's a uni type...well...
Buffer: And she wouldn't be interested in an uneducated Popeye like me.
      Kate: No...
      Buffer: Right, okay, thanks. X.
Kate: No, that's not what I...
      Buffer: Later.

    • (E.T. leaves a wild flower for Nav)
Nav: Some wayward gull must have dropped this.
E.T: Maybe it's not wayward anymore. Maybe it's finally home.

    • Greg: Can we reach him first?
Mike: Yeah, but we're going through the storm. Nav, plot our course to here. Try and make good eighteen knots.
      Nav: Already on it, sir.
Mike: I think we might just do it.
      Kate: Or sink trying.
Mike: Sometimes you have to roll the dice, X.

    • Rick: (holding a gun to Ursula) I'm not bluffing. I'll kill her.
Mike: Kill her and we'll kill you.
      Rick: I'll do it.
Mike: (to Kate) Reacquire target. (Kate points her gun at Rick) You'll get one shot away. Your choice. Her or me, who do you want to kill most? After all, we've both outsmarted you.
Rick: No one outsmarted me! You got lucky.
Mike: Yeah? That's what all the losers say.

    • Mike: So what happens now?
Ursula: The Federal Police'll put me somewhere safe, probably a long way from here.
Mike: But I'd like to see you again.
Ursula: You can't. I'm a ghost, remember? (they kiss)
Mike: You don't taste like a ghost.
Greg: (knocking on the window) We have to go.
Ursula: Maybe someday? If you don't forget me?
Mike: You know where to find me.

    • Mike: Do you hear there? Captain speaking. I'm proud of you all. What we have achieved will ensure the Freemantle Class H.M.S.Hammersley a rightful place in the dignified history of our fleet and the fond memory of all those who've served aboard her. As her decommissioning day arrives, I can't think of a more fitting finale to her years of service. I wanted her to go out in a blaze of glory and thanks to you all, the old girl has. And I want each and every one of you to sail with me again on the new Armidale Class ship which I've just been informed I'll be commanding. You're the best ship's company a Captain could hope for. Thank you all.

    • Mike: (handing over an envelope) Your recommendation, for a frigate posting. A big ship.
Kate: Actually I was thinking…..that I'd take you up on your invitation to stay. Unless of course you want to get rid of me, I….
Mike: No. Nothing I appreciate more than loyalty, courage, and a real throat-ripping debate. So, big isn't always best.
      Kate: Apparently not, sir.
