This is bar far the best episode of the season, and one of the top ten of the series. The way that Roy Scheider and Johnathan Brandis play off each other shows off the father son dynamic the writers spent the first two season establishing.
The way that Lucas stands up to Bridger and admits when he's wrong shows how mature the teen genius has come. When he resuces his former captain from the trench it shows just how much and grown since the ship returned from Hyperion. This episode gives devoted fans a chance to see for one last time what this show could have been.
