Goof: This episode was completely filmed in England and so a language goof was not corrected by co-producer BRT (Belgian Television). The bilingual street sign translates Rue des Menages as Huishoudstraas instead of Huishoudstraat.
In Belgium Saint-Nicolas is celebrated on 6 December. The inspiration for Santa Clause, he brings gifts to children, assisted by his white horse and his aide, Black Pete.
Kessler: The communists are gaining control of the resistance groups in France. Here as well, for all I know.
Brandt: So much for the anti-Bolshevik propaganda.
Kessler: Not at all. This can only lead to divisions. They will end up fighting each other. The Teheran conference proved to be a disaster. The Allies are falling apart, Herr Major.
Monique: Max never gives anything away. He's one of the world's takers.
Kessler: The black market is a safety valve. Without it occupied Europe would be more explosive than it need be. It's a source of comfort for people of substance and influence, and it diverts the energy that otherwise might be directed elsewhere.
