How do yall know the names of the shows? I will list mine as best I can. In random order: The one with the dog Farfle, Man Hands, the Soup Nazi the one where the Waiter gets fired and Elaine tries to get rid of that man, The Frogger episode, Bubble Boy, the one about walking without swing the arms, and the Puffy Shirt and Low Talker episode, the anti-dentite episode, and the Festivus episode. |
I agree, I dont know all the name of the eps. My favs: 1. Elaine's boyfriend - the close talker - when he took Mr & Mrs Seinfeld out - "they bought me a coke". 2. Elaine wants to go to Africa with Peterman but kept testing positive for opium. 3. The Alex theatre one -where Elaine gives her 'peepshow' blouse. 4. George's toupe. 5. The one where Elaine eats the very old wedding cake in Petermans office. 6. The Hamptons - "I dont know how u can walk around with those things" 7. Kramer is wearing an eyepatch (The Scofflaw?). 8. The Kicks (where Elaine is doing her kicking dance). 9. The Merve Griffith Show 10. John Paul - the runner and George carrying on "Sons of **** (My all time fav!)
The Boyfriend (1&2) (I'm going to hire you as my latex salesman?)
The Trip (1&2) (Tuck, or not Tuck?)
The Marine Biologist (A hole in one, huh?)
The Opposite (My name is George...)
The Glasses (Those are ladies glasses...)
The Junior Mint (Mulva?)
The Puffy Shirt (I don't want to be a pirate)
The Fusilli Jerry (you are the Assman)
The Bottle Deposit (1&2) (one with JFK's golf clubs)
The Burning (one with the Tractor Story)

| I don't understand why people like the Chinese Restaurant episode. I mean to each their own, but it's so dull and it all takes place on one set and there's no Kramer. |
Well, probably because (1) it was completely innovative to have an episode of a sitcom structured like that (they had to fight the network to get in on the air) and (2) it relies completely on the strength of the characters and the dialogue, rather than quick jump cuts, absurd situations and a million plot twists. Personally, I'm all about the dialogue and character development, and many of the episodes in the later seasons aren't as interesting because they sacrifice that for mile-a-minute plots. "The Chinese Restaurant" was the episode of the show that got me truly hooked.
But to each their own indeed. "The Fusilli Jerry" is an enormously popular one that I just don't get the reverence for. (Other than Jerry Stiller, who's hilarious in that one.)

I'm surprised no one mentioned "The Jimmy". Understandably, there are so many great episodes it's hard to pick just ten, but this one is probably my favorite, until I think of another! Remember when George was sweating over the Kung Pau Chicken and Wilhelm thought he was sweating because he thought George was lying over the missing equipment? Speaking in the third person. Kramer and novocaine, making Mel Torme think he was mentally challenged. Jerry going under gas in Tim Watley's dentist chair and thinking he saw Tim and the assistant naked. This show has it all!!! If you mention the individual circumstances you'd think they were from different shows.
Quotes: George: "What day is today?....Aw. ..Tuesday! Damn it. I shouldn't have worked out today. Mr Wilhem has called a big meeting and now I'm gonna be sweating through the whole thing." Jerry: "Why. You took a shower?" George: "Aaahhh...it wouldn't take!!!
Jimmy: "Oh yeah!. Jimmy's been watching you....you're just Jimmy's type." Elaine: "Ohhhhhh! Really?"(giggles). Jimmy: "Jimmy's new in town. Jimmy doesn't really know anyone." Elaine: "Oh! well I'd like, like to get to know him."
Jerry: "Looks like he gave you some Novocaine" Kramer: "Ohhh I'am loaded."
Jimmy: "Ooohhh!!!!! JIMMY'S DOWN.!"
The quotes are just to bring back some fond memories.
I will never understand how some people love The Parking Garage, thats easily my least fave. Sorry to those who like it, I just dont get it. Anyway..mines not really in order.
The Little Kicks/The Jimmy/The Soup/The Opposite/The Hamptons/The Showerhead/The Dealership/The Burning/The Soup Nazi/The Abstince
Close contenders for if this was a top 15: The Serenity Now/The Suzie/The Butter Shave/The Yada Yada/The Contest
This was hard to do, it takes a lot for me to not like a Seinfeld episode. I love pretty much all the ones except for some that were in the beginning of the series, they just werent as good. But the wackier the episodes were the more I liked it.
1. The Chinese Restaurant
2. The Pothole
3. The Bottle Deposit
4. The Betrayal
5. The Parking Garage
6. The Parking Space
7. The Opposite
8. The Jimmy
9. The Chicken Roaster
10. The Butter Shave
