I don't know if any show will ever make me laugh as much as Seinfeld. The only one that has come close and is currently my favorite show on air is House. Sitcoms just flat out bore me nowadays. I haven't got into The Office yet but I'm going to. I liked the one episode I watched, seemed different. I don't think any show will have the impact Seinfeld did in terms of all the quotes people use and how often someone can say 'That's a Seinfeld moment' when something weird happens in their life.

As far as style of show, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia has the same feel, but raunchier and more idiotic. I love it.

By the looks of the 2008 tv schedule, it doesn't appear that it will be happening any time in the near future.

hey I never meant that Two and a half men was better than Seinfeld, I just feel it's one of the best that it's still on right now, specially the first 3 seasons

It's Always Sunny because although the characters are raunchier, they remind me of the same kind of hilarious selfishmess that the seinfeld charachters had and the show is pretty much about nothing.

The only show that competes with Seinfeld for funniness is The Simpsons.

You can't, the formula in Seinfeld was just perfect. With a perfect cast was great no one can repeat it. just try.

I don't think there's anything like it other than the obvious Curb but even that isn't quite the same... nothing makes me laugh more than this show.

Id say 'Arrested Development' and 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' are your best bets. They are not exact, as I think Seinfeld is better, but they are the closests of the shows Ive seen so far. They both have that wacky/these things would never happen in real life type of feel to it that Seinfeld did (like 'The Frogger', Jerrys storyline w/ the speed dial in 'The Millenium', etc).

Some people might say "Two and a Half Men" is the big comedy sitcom sucess of the 2000's. It's usually the top rated comedy. However I am not one of those people. "The Office" is my choice for best comedy of the 2000's.

The Simpsons stopped being funny in the late 1990s. Anything past season 10 is a wash.

Nothing out there now compares to Seinfeld . There were/are some very good comedies that came since Seinfeld went off the air , but none to take it's place for me . I had Everybody Loves Raymond and King of Queens to fall back on after Seinfeld's series run was over but...... As for the Simpson's , that show has long run it's course . I only watch it now out of habit . I have been watching it since the very beginning when I was 20 yrs old and it's hard to let go of something you have been watching for nearly 20 years .

I don't know if you mean the '89 Xmas debut or the '87 Ullman debut, but I was there right in '87. After the numerous tapings, watching it in syndication, about 2005 / Season 16 is when I had enough. They kept showing more newer episodes in sydication that were lousy (The Simpsons go to...) but that season, the worse Halloween special ever & Bart having a heart attack was the breaking point to where I said "enough. Never again". The show had evolved into a mere shadow of itself, it wasn't funny, they were just stories.

It a certain way, but the characters aren't as selfish in How I Met Your Mother. There really is no new Seinfeld, unless there is a show out there with a group of characters completely self-involved.
