i liked seasons 3 and 5. Seasons 4 and 6 are still very funny and good, but if u only have 1 and 2, first buy season 3, my suggestion.

I'd definately go with season 4. It's the best set I've gotten so far, so many great episodes. First appearence of George's mom and later George's dad (played by two different actors; both versions are included). And tons of special features:

    Documentary on the "Breakthrough Season"
    Regis & Kathy Lee Parody
A scene from Mad About You featuring Kramer (Easter Egg)
    1992 Olympic Games promos
Short doc about Julia and Tom Arnold's argument over a parking space (Easter Egg)

I got seasons 1 & 2 used at Game Stop for $20 [I know, great deal!!!], and then at F.Y.E. I got season 3 for $45, and I got season 4 for FREE!!!! It was part of a buy-one-get-one-free gig! So my opinion is (if you're not a HUGE fan), look for them used first (what I did), and then go to your local F.Y.E. and buy-one-get-one-free, if their sale is still going on.

It's a chain of stores (that carry CDs, DVDs & Video Games). It stands for "For Your Entertainment". Chances are that you have one at your mall.

Season 8 is the best, but I'm sure you've probably already bought all of them by this time.

personally your better off doing what i'm gonna do and wait till a complete series comes out on dvd.....i got my mom season 5 on dvd for xmas one year and she barely watches it cause they re-run the episodes so often on tv...and since they are played enough on tv in re-runs on tbs and fox that you don't really need to buy them yet.....besides i don't really care for seasons 1-3 with a few exceptions but it still would be nice to have every episode for the few episdoes in the first 3 seasons i did like such as "The Note" and "The Chinese Restruant"
