Opening monologue: Jerry thinks the profession of a doctor isn't all that impressive. George is taking his current girlfriend out to dinner. She bursts into tears claiming her parents are pressuring her not to date anyone who isn't a member of their church and they have to break up. George announces to Jerry and Elaine that he's thinking of converting to Latvian Orthodox just so he can keep seeing her. Jerry hooks up with his attractive neighbor down the hall and really likes her until he finds a tube of fungus cream in her medicine cabinet and won't rest until he finds out why. He asks Elaine to ask her current boyfriend who's a podiatrist about the cream but they end up fighting over whether a podiatrist is a real doctor. Kramer arrives at the church to pick up George from his conversion interview and meets Sister Roberta, the novice who becomes infatuated with him and risks leaving the faith due to the vow of chastity. George passes his initiation; Kramer is counseled on how to rid himself of "kavorka" the animal magnetism he's cursed with that drives women mad with love. Frank and Estelle go ballistic when they learn their son wants to convert to a heathen religion and are convinced he's been brainwashed. Sister Roberta sees the light and returns to the church, to the relief of Kramer. Jerry's final stand up monologue is NOT the post-credit scene in this episode, it's George and his girlfriend. Now that Brother Costanza is the newest member of the Latvian Orthodox church, his girlfriend can announce she's leaving to spend a year with her Latvian relatives. Jerry's final stand up monologue is about people's medicine cabinets.moreless
