    • Throughout the episode, Jerry mentions going to Nathan's for a hot dog. In 1916, a Polish immigrant named Nathan Handwerker opened a hot dog stand on the corner of Surf and Stillwell Avenues on Coney Island. Nathan used a special hot dog recipe developed by his wife Ida's grandmother. Since then, people such as Al Capone, Carey Grant, Barbara Streisand, Mayor Rudy Guiliani, President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Queen Elizabeth have all enjoyed what has gone down in history as the world's most famous hot dog. Today, the restaurant falls back into the spotlight every summer when ESPN televises the annual hot dog eating contest.
