  • There is only one true God of the Wired...

    8.0
The God of the Wired has made his entrance – and Lain grapples with this self-made "God". Many questions about Lain and who she is are beginning to unraveled at this stage. Lain is assertive and confident – Challenging the “God of the Wired” and coming to understand herself and what might lie ahead.

The origins of the Knights are revealed and there is a mass purge. Somewhere along the line, Lain becomes the pond of some nefarious organization aligned with the illusive Men in Black who make grand appearance – leaving little hints along the way. At this stage the more answers Lain receives, the more questions come to mind.

Layer 10 : Love is one episode which picks up the pace and one is hurdled into the storyline. Ending on a cliffhanger, this definitely wets your appetite for the next installment!

    • Source: "They say you can trace the origin of the Knights of the Eastern Calculus all the way back to the Knights Templar."

The Knights Templar, or "Knights of the Temple" are a group that was founded in the early 12th Century. Taking a vow of poverty (in French they were known by the title "Pauvres Chevaliers du Temple" or "Poor Knights of the Temple"), they were a military order, answerable only to the Pope, who protected Christian travellers in their journey to the the Holy Land. They also played a very large role in the Crusades which were the battles for control of the Holy Land between Christians and Muslims.
