Sesame Park

Show Summary

Sesame Park is a children's TV show that originally aired on CBC between 1995 and 2002. The show is the Canadian version of Sesame Street. Sesame Park features several different vignettes per episode, featuring mostly puppet characters with cameos by human guests, as well as occasional cartoon segments. The action takes place at Sesame Park, a scenic city park. Characters include Basil the Bear (Tim Gosley), a friendly and extroverted polar bear who is often the ringleader of the activities around Sesame Park. He is joined by his friends, such as Louis (Pier Paquette), a bilingual otter who tries to teach the other characters French. Katie (Trish Leeper) is an imaginative little girl who uses a wheelchair to get around and always has a bright outlook on life. Dodi (Rob Mills) may be elderly, but she knows how to have adventures and is still a world-traveling pilot. The puppets are joined by human friends such as Red Green (Steve Smith). Together, the crew learns about letters, numbers, the importance of friendship and much more.
