    ELMO.

he is overly cute and babyish, and now he dominates SS.

    Elmo....

sorry but if he's supposed to be like a child, i've never heard of any kid who referes to themself in the 3rd person... and he's annoying

Elmo: Elmo's happy to see you!

Same here -- I can't stand him. No offense to the man that plays him. His voice (Elmo's) just gets on my nerves.

I think Elmo's ok, I just hate that Sesame street is now the ELMO SHOW!

He's supposed to be a child monster & his speaking-in-third-person deal is similar to Cookie referring to himself as "me" rather than "I". However, unlike Cookie, Elmo looks at things still with a childlike wonder.

Defiantly elmo he is to annoying for my taste, plus i hate how he takes up the whole show. I would rather see other muppet characters.

He ONLY takes up the last 15 minutes. And whilst I agree that doing so is not needed, kids of the 1996 generation and onward wanted Elmo's World to stay, so it stayed.
