When Carrie is hailing a cab, Big pulls up and offers her a ride. She opens the door to get in and then in the next shot she's already sitting inside the car.
Miranda: Why are you proposing?
Steve: I thought that's what you wanted!
Miranda: I don't want to marry you, Steve!
Steve: Well I don't want to marry you either!
Miranda: Then what are we doing?
Steve: There's gonna be a baby, and I...I just don't wanna just be a guy that sees you at the playground. I wanna help.
Miranda: That doesn't mean we have to get married! You're not in love with me, right?
Steve: No. Especially not right now I'm not.
(After Trey suggests trying to have a baby "the natural way")
Charlotte: Why don't we just sit around and wait for a stork?
( Miranda opens her door to find Steve kneeling on his knee with a ring in his hand )
Miranda: What, are you fucking kidding me?
Steve: Is that your answer?
Music:
"Leaky Faucet Skank" by Sad Rockets, heard as the show opens on a shot of the Statue of Liberty.
"Blues By The Pound" by Bob Christianson, Aidan listens to the radio as he cooks.
"A Bumpin' Groove" by Bob Christianson, as Carrie thinks about when it's right as she types her column.
"Deep and Warm" by Flying Pop's, as Samantha arrives late for her meeting with Richard Wright.
"Flying to Frisco" by Flying Pop's, as Carrie takes Aidan out to dinner.
"Second Time Around" by Yo-Yo Ma, as Aidan proposes to Carrie.
"Rua Escondida" by Black Mighty Orchestra, as Carrie meets Samntha for a drink and tells her she's engaged.
The scene where Aidan proposes to Carrie was shot on the street Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn lived. They were standing by the window watching the shoot.
This is the last episode to feature any footage of the World Trade Center. Sarah Jessica Parker decided she didn't want upset for the people of NY so she changed the opening credits after this episode.
