Shake It Up

All the kids are cute, the show is funny, it has good style, good music, and all the kids are talented dancers. I really don't understand why it has so many bad reviews. Parents need to lighten up. I'm a parent of a 15 month old girl and if she was older, I'd let her watch it. The show is a good influence for kids to get up and dance!! Unlike that stupid wizard show with that bratty Alex girl.....

I've only watched two or three episodes of this show through the entire series and it is just a mess. Let me sum up the plot in one sentence. Its about two sluts that can't dance for their lives. I'd rather watch ant farm or Jessie than this piece of horse manure. And another thing that kills me about this show is that these two girls actually think they're good dancers and singers. I'm not saying they're horrible but just not all that. I've seen a drugged horse dance better than them. And they're really jokes just aren't funny. I can't even crack a smile while watching this crap. Disney you can do better. The only good show going for you so far is Good Luck Charlie, and VERY rarely Ant Farm

PLOT: It's about two whores named Rocky and Cece, who dance and do these corny tricks that are supposed to surprise me, while they go around chasing douche-bags, having an 8 year-old brother at home not supervising him while they go out with their friends. Yeah, those are some bitchy inconsiderate personalities you two got there.



HUMOR: This humor must be intended for a 6 year old, because it's not at all funny. You have the one annoying bitch go around yelling like she doesn't give a fuck about anyone, while you have the 8 year old at home going apeshit like he has ADD (I have ADD too so shut up i'm not offended) while the whores are dancing in these weird-ass clothes, they look like they work at hooters, it's fucking disgraceful, and pitiful.



ACTING: The acting in this show is so terrible, really, it's not even funny, it's that bad, they can't act for shit, and it looks like Rocky and Cece are so fucking bored, they know exactly what the show is gonna be like, they aren't excited, they just want to get it over with and get the money (I don't blame them) and abandon the show, it looks like the director forces them to act, they don't put any emotion into it at all, it's a big turn-off and it makes me not want to watch this show ever again.



CHARACTERS: They all have shitty personalities, the main characters are bitchy and are dumb bimbos, while the rest are just either uninteresting or annoying.



It's really a bad show, no offence, but it's that bad. It's not good at all, it's actually below bad. It goes below the scale. This show deserves to be in the TV Hall of Shame.

I agree that the show is really awful compared to some good Disney Channel shows like That's So Raven, Hannah Montana and Austin & Ally, but at least it's much better than those shitcraps My Babysitter's a Vampire and Jessie! Let's see why I like it and why I don't:



PLOT: The plot is pretty good. Two teenage girls who try to make their dreams of dancing come true. They are SO overreacting with the dancing thing though! In one of the season 3 episodes, Rocky says dancing is like breathing, and Cece falls into a deep funk because she can't dance anymore. Girls, dancing is a hobby. Not a life. But the plots can be pretty good (like that time when Cece and Rocky were babysitting Flynn and lost him, I loved that one), but there are some really bad episodes.



ACTING: Eh. It's pretty bad really. I don't think there's a good actor on the show, honestly. They could have found better actors, but these aren't as bad as Jesse and My Babysitter's a Vampire actors. Those are really awful.



CHARACTERS: I like some characters, like Gunther, Tinka, Deuce, Flynn and Ty. Which only leaves me with Cece and Rocky. Let's see why I don't like them. They're supposed 'BFFs' when in one episode they decided they were too close and Cece told Rocky they shouldn't hang out as much. This stopped them hanging out AT ALL. I mean, what's up with that? They also treat everyone really badly and think they're the most beautiful, coolest girls out there. They also dress like teen strippers.



HUMOR: Okay, yeah, that's bad. Gonna give you that one. Some jokes are fine, but most of them are just dumb and reused.



OVERALL: I give this show a D- to a C+. Not as bad as some other shows, but not as good. Also, the characters aren't relatable at all and there aren't any big moments. So I think a C+ is more like it. Only reason it's a 7 is because I compared it to Jessie and My Babysitter's a Vampire.

Ck up.

I actually sadly have ti say that I like this show. It is my secret indulgence. I like the way CECE and Rocky characters go so well together. They make CECE too airheaded though, a person cant be really that stupid. They overdo it. The thing that really irks me is the way they dress, its like the puked clothes. They put colors of clothing together that just not go together at all. Mustard yellow, hot pink, baby blue, with some orange and burnt brown. Does not go together.

Disgrace to Disney Channel. Bella Thorne can't act to save her life. That fake bitch needs 100,000,000 years of acting classes...

I LOVE This Show So Much. Rocky if my Fave Character. I'm not crazy about the dancing but i love the show!

I mean this show was good for like the first two episodes. The jokes arent funny at all, they over dress and they think theyre soooo cool. Theyre not!

The characters are unoriginal, annoying, and not relatable. The plots are so ridiculous and stupid. There's no moral lessons and great moments. JUST END THIS SHOW ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a half hour nightmare. How could anybody like this show? All these fans are claiming how good their dancing is, their "awesome singing, their stylish outfits. NO, NO AND NO. People on here are saying how the actors would feel bad we are commenting negatively on their show. Seriously, what would the actors be doing on TV.com!! And if they read it, then good. Everyone gets criticized in their lifetime. AND I MEAN COME ON! THEIR SHOW BURNED DOWN?! THAT'S WHAT I CALL JUMPING THE SHARK!! NOT THAT IT WAS GOOD BEFORE. And the girls are WAY too obsessed with dancing. Rocky one episode that dancing is like breathing. Really Rocky? You'd give up breathing for dancing? And I just hate stupid characters. That's what CeCe is. I know they have her dyslexic, but that's just calling dyslexic people stupid. That's really offensive. Just. End. It.

Wow. just, wow. Really disney? REALLY?!?!?!?! Ok, man this show is terrible! Now, im a guy, and I really dont watch these shows, but I can stand hannah montanna over this show! The first time I watched this, I was absoloutley FLABBERGASTED! "Shake it up!" Is just plain boring, Im just going to cut to the chase: The dance moves are stupid, Those foreing people dont even SOUND like their sapossed to, every one looks like they overdosed on happy pills, and the stories are just blech. Please, for the love of jesus christ and all that is holy, Dont watch this show !!!! I rest my case.

For Disney Shake It Up isn't really a bad show. In the beginning I thought that it would be stupid so I didn't watch most of the first season. But after, I realized that it isn't bad. I really wish they wouldn't make the other character's absent so much, that bothers me. Also, I want to see Ty get electrocuted.

Those main girls... ARE THEY EVEN REAL FRIENDS? I mean they call themselves friends because they do all shit together, they get into conflicts so much and yet they stay "best friends" because they do EVERYTHING together.



I can not explain the suckiness of this show much enough, but the worst thing about all this... is the moral... Only having a good life when you DANCE... FUCKING DANCE.



I swear to god, if anyone comes to me yelling that they love this show, they lost all credibility with me. This show deserves nothing more than to burn in the pits of hell...

Oh my Gosh! I like to say that Disney has run out of ideas. Apperently since they made Hannah Montana, they desided to make little copies of it. What does this show have? Apperently Hannah Montana is beginning to look like junk now, I checked the reviews for that show. This show brings nothing new. It's just another overrated live-action teen show with teen actors singing jingles throughout the show, who swoon at boys and shout out stuff with a laugh track in the background. At least Hannah Montana had a plot twist with a girl having a double life, this has nothing. It fails to bring anything new to the table. The humor is nothing, the laugh track is there just to make it look funny even though iCarly does that same thing but it's actually funny, but not even those shows can stand up to anything before these teen shows invaded Disney and Nick. Disney just throws the stuff at you. They have too many of these shows. Why aren't there anymore Mickey Mouse shows? Why? It seems like they are too busy with stuff like this. They only do it for money. It isn't made with love. They made it beacause Hannah Montana is ending and they need something to replace it. There is not much originality to this show. Can they do something other than singing and dancing. Please do something else. Please.

Disney I thought you were bad, but then this piece of crap came. Let's see if I can go this entire review without resorting murder! The show is about 2 girls on a dancing show in Chicago. I find it funny how there's not one sports reference; there are so many opportunities for a Chicago Cubs joke, but they're all missed... Anyway they just go through some blatantly stupid plots about boys and dancing... that's it. The jokes aren't funny and the characters are just plain awful. In fact I'll go in depth on why I hate each character.



CeCe: she is a future prostitute (okay that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but it's not too far off), she's arrogant, annoying and all she cares about is herself, and she's one dumb bunny.



Rocky: She's an okay role model, but in the end her personality is just like wood.



Flynn: Another annoying character that has an overtly stupid ego.



Ty: ANOTHER OVERBLOWN EGO! He's boring and does nothing but talk about himself.



Tinka and Guntar (or however you spell it): MY GOD, these pricks are annoying. They are Scandinavian exchange students who guess what? HAVE OVERBLOWN EGOS!! WOW JUST WOW!! They wear sparkly clothes and speak in aggravatingly annoying fake (and racist) Scandinavian accents.



Deuce: He's okay, but he tries to hard to be edgy and cool, but ends up falling flat on his face. The only character I don't hate with my soul.



That's Shake it up for ya. A expansively mentally deficient show that's not leaving anytime soon. Disney how could you get any worse. I mean you own ABC, ESPN, and PIXAR which are three awesome things, you have a great game making division, you publish books, and you've made some all-time classic movies like Fantasia and even some great new movies, such as Wreck It Ralph. But come on! Make some awesome shows for once. Yes there's Gravity Falls as well as Phineas and Ferb but that's it. (Good Luck Charlie is watchable



One last thing: FOR CHRIST'S SAKE PUT YOUR BIG BOY PANTS ON, DISNEY!

OK this isn't the worst Disney Channel show i've ever seen, but its not that good. Now the only show that's worse that this is so random. Now the show started out pretty good, but its just downhill from that. Now the main characters Rocky and Cece, i have to admit their pretty but i don't think they have enough talent to be on Shake it up Chicago. Now i think it would be better if Ty was on Shake it up Chicago. Now the characters Gunter and Tinka are so annoying. Now Duece and Flynn are ok. So overall 5/10.

Whoo, Disney HAS taken a serious turn for the worst. I'd rather smell my own crap for an hour than watch the first season of Shake it Up! for a day. And that is really saying something.

Characters are:

CeCe Jones: A really stupid redhead (why do all these shows have at least one stupid main character? Why? Is having a brain too much to ask for?) who cares about nothing but dancing, shopping, and getting her way.

Rocky Blue: CeCe's best friend. She's much smarter, but that's it. Past that, she's boring.

And those are all the characters I care to talk about, because the rest of them are so sad that I'd be depressed even talking about them.

The acting on this show is deplorable. It doesn't make you want to cry, it makes you want to smash the TV screen in, get down on your knees, and cry out, "WHY???". Don't do it, though, not too worth it.

The plot is scattered and nonsensical.

None of it's funny.

Same stale "comedy".

The dancing that the main characters do is terribly basic and nothing to shout about.

Finally, the songs that the main characters sing are garbage. Ever heard "TTYLXOX" by Bella Thorne? Look it up and prepare to go to the ear doctor the following day.

Cancel It Up!!!!!!!!

May I start of by saying that the reviews attacking Rocky for being a "lesbian" are just plain offensive. We get it. The show is an unceasing crapfest but you do not need to talk about your murderous desire to kill a 16 year old. The show may be godawful, but those kind of derogatory comments are deplorable. You're pathetic, get some help.



One good show Disney. Just ONE good show. Is that so much to ask for?



The acting in Shake it Up is unapologetically constipated, there are no other words for it.

Flynn - Some one seriously needs to shut him up before I do it for him. I know that the actor portraying Flynn is only 11 or so, but would it kill the producers to find a genuinely talented actor? No, I didn't think so.

Cece - Well, well, well. Some one who takes contemptibility to a whole new level and makes superficiality a high art. I'm really tired of the ubiquity of air , vacuous idiots in Disney's programming. A character can be hilarious, relatable and entertaining - all whilst having a decent sized brain. In Farm we have Paisley and Cameron, in Austin and Ally we have Dez, in Pair of Kings we have the Pair of Kings themselves, in Jessie we have Emma and Luke, and the most air headed amongst the air headed is Cece. Shopping. Boys. Fame. Fashion. Talk about "character depth".



Rocky - at least she serves as a decent role model some of the time. Zendaya's acting isn't bad (not marvellous though) and she is the more believable of the two lead characters. If dancing doesn't work out for her, than her career of choice would be medicine, law, neuroscience, political science etc. If dance doesn't work out for Cece, than she'll just have to join the Kardashians. At least one of them has ambitions, motivation and the ability to take their education seriously. That counts for something, but the "cookie cutter smarty pants" stereotype is getting old fast.



Deuce - Haven't got much too say about him. I could do without all the shady deals though.



Ty - by far the best dancer on the show and yet ironically he doesn't do much dancing in the show.



Tinka and Gunther - vexing as they are, they entertain you more than the leads - in a bad way.



Cece's Mom - I pity Cece in this regard. No discipline, no reprimand, no parenting whatsoever. If she is only a cop how can she afford such a capacious, extravagant apartment.



The set design makes you want to throw up but it looks like someone already did. The manuscript is so wooden it's no wonder that the stars can't exploit their full range of talents, however few of them they may have.



The clothes. No 12-17 year old dresses that way, apart from fashionista wannabes ( I guess they do fit in that category) and people with serious issues. TOO MUCH MAKE -UP! Looking at them on screen, you don't buy that they are every day teens.



Shake it Up is yet another Disney show that teaches kids that performing arts is all about "fame" and that any bobble-headed bimbo can be famous. It isn't easy, in fact that is probably the understatement of the century. Kids also don't have to be involved in music/dance to make a difference to this world somehow. Phineas and Ferb on the other hand are perspicacious, precocious, ingenious, creative, prodigious and inspiring. They are gifted academically, mechanically and creatively. As a student, even though they are cartoon characters, they inspire me to think outside of the box, break convention, to be independent and to actually use your brain outside of school!!!! They maybe 2- dimensional, but they have myriad more depth then the 3D rubbish that Disney Channel is pumping across the globe.



WHen Walt Disney started this company, it was an art. A fine art that was to be taken seriously and crafted meticulously. Both film and television. Even less than a decade ago, Disney used to make the best shows: That's So Raven, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Phil of the Future, Recess, The Proud Family, Bus Life, Kim Possible, The Emperor's NEw School, the list goes on. I'm not 14 yet and I remember these programmes, but turing on the TV in 2013 just makes me want to claw my eyes out the preponderance of the time.

This show is one of the worst shows I've ever seen. All it does is teach girls to date, date, date and be whiny until you get what you want.



This show, like other worthless shit Disney Chnnel produces offers no moral, but the wrong ones. The show is just heavy autotune and false changing and editing. None of the movements on this show can be qualified as "dancing" as only somone with a mental disorder would believe.



Most of time I hear girls quoting stuff from the show, and when I saw it myself, I wondered if the producer and creator are trying to get arrested on purpose. The dancing is just pathtic last minute moves. I'm sure even an unexprienced dancer can outdance these stupid girls. Their acting is pathetic and horrible.



The realism is not there, too. How on earth did these girls become dancers anyways? The studio needs dancers, not posers. Only a desperate studio would hire them. REALLY DESPERATE. Rocky and Cece are not only bad dancers, but the weirdest best friend couple ever. They live together, share the same room together even sleep together ( like in the kryptonyite song). I bet they would go as far as sharing the same DNA and blood type.



The costumes are disgusting and are nothing what a real dancer on a normal show would wear. The characters are one dimensional and obessed with singing and dancing. None can even act. Those faternal twins Gunther and Tinka are the worst with their dumb, lousy and fake accents. They have the worst taste in clothing which in unrealistic as no one would dress like that. From ANY country.



That "Fashion Is My Kryptonite" song confirmed what girls shouldn't wear. A giant flower on your head? Real fashion statement. You or other people might disagree when I say this but why is dating always the same lesson.



Kids should not be dating but enjoying life as kids. I've seen six year old wanting to date and that's the issue. Secondly, Rocky & Cece have the worst taste in clothes after those twins. Their clothing are close to vomit and in no way would a mom or dad want buy clothes for their kids like that. No matter how much they cry.



Bottomline: Shake it up is a horrible sitcom which needs to gets cancelled for the good of the world. The acting is bad, and Zendeya and Bella Thorn need acting and dancing classes. call me biased but that's what I believe. Now I am going to watch GOOD tv and actual worthwhile stuff than watch this pathetic shows like this.

First of all, Disney why did you have to create such a HORRIBLE TV show. The acting is ABOMINABLE!!! There is NO educational value, just two spoiled little sluts "dancing"... Not really dancing to me, just spinning around and jumping like morons for 5 minutes. Next, no ROLE MODELS... They should have created this show around two loyal good girls, but no, CeCe is lazy, selfish, and irresponsible -- I feel bad for the kids who watch this show. All in all, CANCEL THIS FUCKING garbage. Watch Good Luck Charlie, Austin & Ally, Jessie, Gravity Falls, . Farm --- ANYTHING else but this!!!!!!!

I HATE being mean, but this is Disney Channel's WORST SHOW EVER!!!! None of the episodes have been good, not even the Pilot, they all suck, especially Bella Thorne -- SHE IS THE WORST ACTRESS OF OUR GENERATION..... What the fuck?! I'm sorry, but the show would be a lot better if she was replaced with a different actress and replace that annoying fucker Flynn; I can't stand him!!! I cannot believe the ratings for this show have been so high, but lately they haven't. Luckily, Good Luck Charlie and Austin & Ally have won the night... Those shows are 100,000,000,000,000 better than this garbage. Plus, lately, Rocky and CeCe have been acting and dressing like spoiled sluts... Disney Channel, PLEASE CANCEL THIS SHOW and replace it with That's So Raven reruns.

Shake It up is a disgrace to man kind. It is (like almost every other show on Disney) about girls trying to make it in showbiz. By the way why does every show have a moron (Cece on Shake It Up, Paisley on farm, Emma on Jessie, Dez on Austin and Ally, PJ on Good luck

Characters 1/10 stars:



Rocky Blue: This girl can't sing, act, or dance for her life!! She overacts every words she says and is so ANNOYING! She is supposedly smart (although she comes off more as an idiot) and is completely unlikeable!



Cece Jones: CECE IS THE WORST CHARACTER ON NOT ONLY SHAKE IT UP, BUT ON ALL OF DISNEY CHANNEL! Cece is a moron. She is annoying and self-centered. Shes all ME ME is a whiney crybaby, oh boo hoo I didn't make it on the show. GIVE ME A BREAK! Not to mention her terrible acting skills. She is a horrible dancer, and has an autotuned voice while She is the moron on the show.



Gunther and Tinka: Stupid rip-offs of Sharpay and Ryan Evans. Enough said.

Ty Blue: The older brother of Rocky. Also the only one who can actually dance.

Duece: Just an extra character. Why is he even on this show?!

Flynn Jones: This kid couldn't possibly be a more annoying actor. Don't care how young he is, just please someone shut him up!





Acting: HORRIBLE! 1/10 stars

ALL DISNEY DOES IS RIP OFF NICKELODEON. The new episode is about how they have to re audition for Shake It up. Oh hello? Victorious?! They have to reaudition for hollywood arts! TOTAL RIPOFF!



Basically Disney, I urge you to TAKE SHAKE IT UP OFF THE AIR AND BURN THE SCRIPT!
