The second round to the shaman tournament has finally started. The gang all gather around a match being held between three generic shamans, and Hao's subordinates. They've easily dominanated the fight with their impressive teamwork. In another place, Tao Jun is being harassed by two kids claiming revenge upon the Tao family. Ren comes, and so does their guardian, Noroshi. Because of Ren going against his family, they were betrayed, and had nothing else to do but to abandon the family. Now, they seek revenge against Ren. Fortunately, they're team is going against Ren's team. During the match, Ren tells Horo Horo and Chocolove to let him handle it by himself. Team Noroshi start assaulting Ren rather harshly, but he does nothing but absorb the blows in order to feel the hatred within their hearts. Though the last thing he was going to do is lose, and by himself, he won his team the match.

Standard "I hate someone within the group and want revenge on them", or "I happen to cross by you and let's fight" formula. Average character past, and we'll probably never see these guys too. So this actually felt more like a filler episode more than anything contributing to nothing, except for a tad character development on Ren's part. Though that tad bit of character development isn't enough to save this episode. I'm really getting tired of these filler episodes that do little to contribute to the main story. Dammit I want to see more Ryu and X-Laws!moreless
