Ciaran Griffiths is a 26 year old, Piscean, who currently lives in South London. He's an avid Manchester United fan and loves his music but won't be pinned down to a particular taste. His acting career started with Saturday classes at a school in Manchester where every 3 months they'd put on a performance at a local theatre. Every so often casting directors would turn up and phone through with auditions in the following weeks. Ciaran's auditioning began when he was just 15. While studying French and Spanish A Levels he took a part in the British film 'There's Only One Jimmy Grimble', which took 5 months to film. After taking so much time off he fell behind and was given the choice of seeing college out with no interruptions or acting. Obviously for Ciaran the choice was clear.. So after taking on various roles in Manchester and London he took a part in' Coronation St' playing Dean Sykes a character who was killed holding up a supermarket! In between this and 'The Bill', Ciaran could be found helping out at a mate's hairdressers in Manchester. He had his audition for The Bill in October 2001, which didn't run as smoothly as expected. Unfortunately he missed his first train and ended up sprinting all the way to the studios from the train station. When he arrived still puffing and sweating, he was told to sit down and take a breather. He found out later on the same day that the role of PC Gary Best was his, and the rest is history. Or at least it will be.moreless
